"Saanware" IS (technically) NOT a classical song at all😆. It has no raag base. Loads of mudkis and harkats do not always make a song classical.

However, I'd concede, Saanware is a very soulful song.

And, about Hemant -- overall he is much better than (besura) Mussarat.

😕Mussarat's voice does shake in some songs and yes does go off sur in movie songs....but he is damn good in sufi songs

Mussarat was the best singer in that competition for the Sufi genre, same with Hemant. The way Hemant showed his talent in his Sanwre performance was mind blowing to see. He really did sing it like an Ustad, but it cannot be compared with Mussarat's Sanwre, since he sang it with a different style altogether, and also the age difference should be considered too :P
