Gajender continues to pretend he's regretful and asks for a second chance to prove himself. Ammaji grins and remarks that she knows him extremely well since she's his mother. She sarcastically runs her hands over his head and says that she's well aware of just exactly how remorseful he really is. Joginder smirks and adds his own two cents about Gajender's sly and deceitful nature. Ammaji tells Gajender to prove his loyalty first. Then she adds that Raghav, who is currently handling her accounts shall not be doing so anymore because he's much more qualified than that. Hence, she has asked her cousin's son Dheeraj to arrive at the haveli and take care of the accounts. He's an orphan, excels at his academics and is very intelligent.
An infuriated Gajender goes to his room and tells Sunehri how Ammaji has treated him worse than one treats their step-children. She'd rather have a distant relative handling her accounts than her own son! Then he angrily continues that even though Joginder is his brother, he leaves no stone unturned to put him down in front of Ammaji. Once Gajender manages to get his hands on a good opportunity, he'll teach the two of them such a lesson that they'll fear him for several lifetimes to come!
It's time to end the fast that mothers keep for their children, and the entire family has gathered at the haveli's temple. Ammaji prays to God and then blesses Joginder and Raghav, wishing them a long and healthy life. Sunehri goes before God's idol and takes its blessings for her son Aditya. It's now Sheela's turn, who limps towards the idol, picks up the platter and goes to bless Avtar. Then she sees Jhumar and begins to walk towards her - only to be stopped by Ammaji. She says that the daughters-in-law of this haveli don't go and bless the servants. Sheela may have accepted Jhumar as her daughter but there's no way that Ammaji would tag that chori with her family's name. So she better keep her motherly affections buried somewhere inside her heart. Otherwise, it can prove costly both for her and the chori. Jhumar runs off inside and everyone else follows suit.

A man is shown walking towards the haveli while she says those words. He arrives at the gate and the guards ask him who he is. He introduces himself as Dheeraj and tells them to inform Ammaji. A few minutes later Ammaji comes out and cheerfully greets him.

Assuming her to be Raghav's wife he proceeds to touch her feet. Ammaji quickly tells him that he shouldn't seek blessings from a servant! Both Raghav and Sia look highly disappointed.
