Which shell am I on about? The shell of silence that the Thakurian has been keeping till date. Finally it was pleasing to see motherhood take over the respect of family and so called Patidev. This should have happened before, but like it is said "better late then never."

Well done Kaushalya for not just waking up Ranvijay but also cowardly Loha who sits and watches the drama. How long did he expect to get his way?

Personally I think Loha deserves as many slaps as Ranvijay or more. I really think he needs to get his priorities right. Like the Thakurian said, nothing is more important then her son's life. What is so difficult about this that Loha doesn't understand?

I hope silence mode doesn't resume ever now onwards. It is high time Kaushalya has a say in what happens in the Haveli.

I would love to hear what you guys have to say as the Thakurian is a very important character and finally she has been given some importance.

I could not agree more.
I still cannot belive how a Mother can be quite when she knows that her son is dying everydaya nd the reason for that is his FATHER!!
Likewise I too hope she does not go back to her silence mode.

I agree ..........i would love to see Thakuraian speak up more in the show.......that would show Loha that she's brave and have a mind of her own. it's time the women in the Indian serials stand up for themselves and for what's right. they need to set examples because where i live lots of women watch the indian tv serials and idolize the stars. women will start to do the same thing Thakurain and others are doing.

i feel loha singh needs to end this poison scenario and ranvijay needs to get over the property phase 😕 it was definitely good to see thakurayan not only raise her voice.. but raise her hand also.. ranvijay deserved it 👏 👏 👏 and yes.. it should continue on in the future she's lived far too long listening to loha singh and doing as he says.. now she's standing up for her son.. its good!

Nice to have both of you joining us. It is always nice to see fresh replies.😊

Two very important points yeah.

1) The Thakurian has spoken up but this one time will not be enough. As the audience we see her always thinking/worrying. It is just Loha who has assumed the Thakurian can't use her brain. This would be generalising, but I think a good portion of Indian men probably do think the same to some extent. I just fear Loha won't take too many beatings from the Thakurian because the "manly pride" comes in the way of course.

2) What are little kids taught? Don't watch violent movies/shows as it may influence you. Well sadly it affects adults too and it doesn't need to be violent too. I agree with you 100%. Most Indian ladies watch soaps and base thier role models on TV characters; sadly forgetting they don't exist. I think TV has a huge influence without us actually knowing it. Maybe producers should think about the affects of what they show will have. However TV channels are interested in revenue from ads which are based on TRPs. Anything that works in terms of TRPs will work on TV regardless of what effect it has on the audience..

@ Navs: The poison track is really lame. They really think the audience will fall for such nonsense? I think the poison Loha uses comes for Alice and Wonderland because I have never seen a poison having such an effect ever and I doubt others have too. I have always felt the only one in the Haveli with brains is the Thakurian. Now let's hope she puts her thoughts to actions.

I have always admired Kaushalya. In the beginning it showed her terrified of Loha but somehow with the appearance of Lali, she appears to gain some strength to voice her own opinion. I suspect Lali's naive audacity in the beginning and her innate strength has somehow influenced Kaushalya to be more forward and outspoken. Loha's ridiculous poisoning of Shekhar was, i think the straw that broke the camel's back (although i do have reservations as to whether Shekhar was truly poisoned). To-date the Loha family lived a reasonably quiet life but with the waaris issue, it had been thrown for a loop and as i said, the true nature of a person is revealed during times of upheaval. I am certain Kaushalya will not disappoint us. I love her quiet expressive ways - great actress.

I agree wholeheartedly with your point. Since a lot of the emphasis is on woman empowerment in the show through Lali, it is very good to see another female character demonstrate that she has guts to stand up.

Some more valid points. Yea I agree, I don't know what it is about this character but I have always admired her. Maybe becasue she is the only with who knows what is correct and even during thr worst times she is caring.

Yes, Laali has made an influence for sure. I think now the Thakurian has spoken out loud maybe we might get to see Laali favoured more in the Haveli *fingers crossed* The truth is Kaushalya is the only person in the Haveli with Laali who understands Shekhar's inner feelings.

The whole cast and crew for Agle Janam are fantastic. The characters have been well etched to suit the actors they have been given to. One of my favourites is Dai.

Yup, the more women who are treated equally on TV (other shows) the better. If we take other popular shows like Pavitra Rishta, Bidaai and BV women always tend to bow down to men and thier greed. It is high time this changes to reflect modern India.
