'MY Post' button.. Good or bad?

Hello friends,
I am refering to the 'my post' button of others... not our own....
I have seen many topics on the suggestions forum where the scrapping of the "my post" button has been discussed.... Some are dead against it because it provides a opportunity to stalk...Some people say that Many members(especially the newbies) use this option to follow the older members.....and some mischevious memebrs use it to track each and every post of other memebrs so that they can report and/or abuse them.... some even create fake ids to bash.... There is a global thread warning people against it and a threat of an IP check....

Personally i never have been stalked and even if i have been no body has threatened me....when i was a new thus button was a boon cause it hepled me understand certain members by reading their posts.... I was a fan of few members, so i found it pretty interesting to read all their comments.... I never did report or threaten anybody least of all bash...

Many of my friends and me find it very easy to find out interesting topics/posts due to the "MY Post" button.... So personally I have nothing against it.... Though I feel for the people who have abused cos i have read the pms they receieve... and those pms are AWFUL.....

So what do you think? is the "MY Post" button a good or bad thing??

I think it's a good thing.

Without it, I would have no way of tracking which forums I'm active in, and which threads I posted in. I am not on IF a whole lot, so when I come on, I just want to see if others responded to my post, or in a discussion, what's being said.

we sh7ud be givn the option imo... whether to allow ppl to read our posts or not..

Jolly !!! didnt know this facility existed , I think its fine to have it 😃 cant C how it can B misused . Dont tell me that U can read others PMs too [:S]

my first line of the topic was- other person's "MY POST".....not your own....

well thats one of the highly alluring aspects of I-F.....try it.... u can easily read anybody's post....

lol i just got it from the allow others to see all scraps in ur scrap book or not.. thot it cud be applied here...
