Career

Shetty made her debut in 2000 with the Yash Raj Films blockbuster Mohabbatein, which was directed by Aditya Chopra. Since Mohabbatein, she mostly found success in item numbers, including "Sharara Sharara" in Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai (2001) and "Chori Pe Chori" in Saathiya (2002). Later Shetty found success as an actress with her first solo-hit Zeher. She worked once with her sister Shilpa Shetty in Fareb in that same year

Shamita Shetty in Bigg Boss 3

Shamita Shetty continues to follow her more successful older sister's example, and is making her TV debut in the reality show Bigg Boss 3. Shilpa had won the UK version of Big Brother, and hosted Bigg Boss 3 last year. About her participation, she was quoted in print as saying, "I am under no pressure at all. We should not be compared; Shilpa reacts to things very differently. But I will give it my best shot. As I am not even acting in any film right now, it is the best time for me to do this."

Hey, I love Shamita Shetty and hope she wins Bigg Boss.

As far as her being nominated, I don't think that will happen this week. She is the nicest one there.

Nominations from her I think will be Sherlyn, because she seems like the fakest one there and the damsel in distress attitude is getting kind of played out. Second nomination I think she will give is of KRK because he is too loud, and tries to get out of work and is just busy scheming with Vindhu and Sherlyn.

Shamita is amazing in the house. Has maintained her cool really well and has tried to adapt to the lifestyle in the house.
