Dan and Emma participate in Today Show tradition

Each year, NBC's morning news show asks special guests to sign a coffee table book to sell for charity. 2005's book includes signatures from Dan Radcliffe and Emma Watson. The book is currently up for auction on eBay.

All proceeds will go the Lupus Foundation of America (LFA), which is the nation's leading non-profit, voluntary health organization dedicated to finding the causes and cure for lupus. Thanks to Leaky for the tip!

GOF is 9th biggest movie of all time

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has now climbed to #9 on the list of the highest-grossing films of all time, one place behind Chamber of Secrets. The fourth movie - in its 66 days of release - has accumulated $286m domestically and $589m overseas, bringing its international total to $874.9m; COS's is $876.7.

JK Rowling now in Romania

We told you the other day that Jo would be in Romania to appear on a televised event. We now have more information on her appearance from The Bucharest Daily News:

Best-selling author J.K. Rowling is to visit Romania this week to take part in a fundraising gala to help children in need in Romania and across Europe, organizers said Monday. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter books, recently became a trustee of the newly established charitable foundation The Children's High Level Group, which raises funds to support children in need, focusing on child health and development in Romania and across Europe. She will be in Romania Jan. 25-26, where she will be the guest of honor at a gala at the former palace built by late dictator Nicolae Ceausescu.

Rowling will also meet children living in foster care and orphanages who have made achievements in sports, science and the arts on Wednesday.

She is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu and President Traian Basescu. A fundraising appeal will be transmitted by Romanian state television on Thursday during Rowling's visit. Rowling's visit is designed to highlight reforms made in Romania's child welfare system, organizers said.

	Thanks to SS and ICM, we have a new batch of promotional Goblet of Fire pictures, including some crazy Quidditch World Cup attendees and an empty Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. We also have a new promo picture of Stanislav Ianevski as Viktor Krum and this new shot from the set.

Charity News: Radcliffe, Watson Lend Names to Book Auction

Two performers from the Harry Potter films are among those who have signed a special book which is being auctioned off to help raise funds to benefit the Lupus Foundation of America. Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) are among hundreds of celebrities whose signatures are included in a Green Room book from their appearance on The Today Show. They signed this book in November of last year while promoting Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire . You can see this auction for this book, which is currently on Ebay, here, and can read the entire list of names via this link. This auction is due to end on January 26.
