Aishwarya Rai says she was never a part of Ashutosh Gowariker's new period drama, "Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se," starring Abhishek Bachchan and Asin, rubbishing media speculation that she was replaced by Asin.

October 07, 2009, (Sawf News) - Aishwarya Rai says she was never a part of Ashutosh Gowariker's new period drama, Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Asin, rubbishing media speculation that she was replaced by Asin. Aishwarya says Abhishek and Ashutosh were aware of her tight schedule, so there was never a talk of her doing the film that starts production in end November. "I don't have the dates right now as my schedule diary is super packed. This film starts next month. So there never was that possibility. And since Ashu is a close friend and his main lead is my husband, they obviously knew it. So the discussion didn't even arise," Aishwarya told Mumbai Mirror. Ashutosh confirmed the casting process saying, "I had not approached her (Aishwarya) for 'Khelein Hum..."

Going overboard, he added, "Aishwarya, for me, belongs to a fairytale. She is a quintessential princess and by far one of the finest actresses we have."
