Oh, the media, I guess they are just going by the last place she lived and by that being where her mom is from too. She has moved around a lot according to Wikipedia.

French is pretty tough mostly because of the gender thing.

The Zs might be exaggerated mostly because there is no the sound in french. So french people replace it with Zs. The hardest part of French is the r. It took me about 1.5 years to finally get that right.
