Start of episode
Chandini asks Sheeba how she got the payal. Sheeba refuses to tell her, and then Chandini asks her to remove it from her shoulder. Sheeba reluctantly does so and Chandini notices the name Manisha on it. She gets very happy and tells Sheeba, but Sheeba says that the name Manisha is very common. Chandini with tears in her eyes tells Sheeba that we both know that you are trying to convert truth into lies. She says that if you lie, you will get nothing, but if you tell me the truth, you will be doing a very big ehsaan for me. Sheeba looks at her for few minutes, and finally says, Fine, I know your Mini didi aka Manisha Kapoor. Chandini is thrilled and asks her if she knows where she is now. But Sheeba tells her that she doesn't know, rather she knew Manisha. She had met Manisha in a shoot a couple of years back. Manisha had come to her and sold her payal because she needed money. Chandini is dejected to hear this and tells Sheeba if she knows nothing more. Sheeba tells her she doesn't and warns Chandini to stop her useless interrogation and also never to try to contact her again.
A dejected Chandini walks back to the van and is shocked to see that the driver is missing. She leans against the van and replays her conversation with Sheeba. She is also worried that she has been away from the office so late and by now everybody will surely know that she is missing and if Adi finds out……….. Her worried thoughts are interrupted by the driver who has come back. Chandini scolds him for going away when she had given him strict instructions to stay near the van as it is so late and it is unsafe for her to stand alone. The irritated driver informs her that he had just gone to get tea.
Adi who is speaking with Vishesh gets up from his seat and says, What???!!!! Vishesh says that all he has to do is to organize a welcome party for the US delegation which he will be bringing tomorrow. Adi is very worried and says he cannot do it. Vishesh tells him that the matter is very simple and reminds Adi about his promise to look after things in his absence. Adi says that until now he has never taken any decisions without consulting Vishesh, but Vishesh says that if he keeps holding on to his fingers, then how can he grow up and take decisions on his own. He says that I will see you tomorrow and puts down the phone. Adi is totally tensed and drops back to the seat and holds his head in frustration.
In the hub, Varun is asking everybody to listen to his jokes, but Smitha tells him they have no time for his phaalthu jokes. Varun anyway goes on and tells one about a real estate agent visiting Yamraj and swarg and narak and something like that. Everybody laughs when he finishes, but Smitha is still staring angrily at Varun. Bechara Varun's smile also fades off.
Just then Adi comes into the hub and tells everybody he needs their help. Everybody looks at him in surprise. He says that a US delegation is coming to visit them the next day and they have to give a wonderful party to welcome them, so he needs everybody's suggestions. Varun suggests having a Bollywood theme party, as they love Bollywood films. Kabir suggests having it in a 5 star hotel so that they don't have to do anything. Amy suggests a champagne and cheese party so that they won't know the difference in atmosphere between India and US. Just then Kavitha puts up her hand timidly and tells Adi she too has a suggestion. Everybody looks at her exasperatedly thinking she will tell one of her dumb ideas again. She says that when her father had to welcome foreign delegations, they always gave a traditional Indian welcome because the foreigners love these kind of welcomes. Everybody loves her suggestion and Adi is ready to hug her out of sheer happiness, but she gets scared and mentions her bf. Adi then wonders how they will go about it and who has experience in these kind of matters. Suddenly he catches sight of Chandini's desk with the Matharani idol and his face lights up. He asks everybody where is Chandini and Kabir says she has been gayab for quite some time. Amy interrupts hurriedly and says that she was just here, but left to get aspirin as she had a splitting headache. Adi gives orders that when she comes back, she has to meet him and goes away.
Chandini is sitting in the van when a call comes on the driver's mobile. He picks it up and hands it to Chandini. It is from Jenny who worriedly asks her where she is as she had said she will be back shortly and already 2 hours have passed. The phone is then taken by Amy who tells her to come quickly as Adi is asking for her. Chandini gets really tensed and says she will come in just 5 minutes. She puts down the phone and tells the driver to hurry.
Chandini is hurriedly entering the office when she bumps into Aditya ( ooooooooh, why doesn't her kismat come to us! ). Both stare at each other and Chandini thinking that Adi has come to know about her disappearance and is going to shout at her tells him that she is very tired and in no mood to fight with him. Adi is surprised and says that he just wants a big favour from her. Chandini looks up in shock. Adi tells her that a US delegation is coming to IC tomorrow with Vishesh and that they need to give them a grand welcome. Kavitha suggested a traditional Indian welcome, but he doesn't know how to organize such things, but Chandini must surely have experience. Chandini is still staring at him. He then says pleadingly with that heart melting puppy dog expression, that at least not for him, can she please do it for IC. Chandini smiles shyly and nods. Adi says great and tells her to meet him in the canteen.
In the canteen, everybody is gathered around and Varun tells he will tell a shayari. Smitha doesn't want to listen at all, but Kavitha catches hold of his arm and tells him to go on as she thinks shayaris are so romantic. Varun proceeds to tell a shayari on the Tajmahal and when he finishes, everybody claps except Smitha who is sitting stone faced. Adi then enters followed by Chandini and Amy and tells everybody to start brainstorming as Chandini has also joined them now.
The brainstorming session begins with full josh. Chandini suggests that they should have a lot of flowers. Someone suggests putting tilak and arti and there is a discussion on who will do it. Kavitha volunteers, but Kabir says she will do it wrong and Adi says that Chandini will do it. There is a suggestion about garlands and Amy volunteers to take care of it. Kavitha volunteers to take care of the refreshments and there is another discussion on the beverages. Lassi, Amras, …., etc. are voted out and then Kavitha suggests badam milk. Varun says it is a mind blowing suggestion and wonders if the day is ok as now there are two wonderful ideas by Kavitha. Adi wonders where they will get it and Chandini suggests Mustapha's milk dairy. Everybody agrees and the discussion continues animatedly, but Chandini is only thinking of Sheeba telling her that she had met Manisha at a photo shoot and that she had come to sell her payal.
In the morning, there is again a water shortage in the chawl. One lady tauntingly says that it is republic day on 26th and this had to happen. Beeji who is standing behind two ladies worriedly asks them when the water will come again, but the ladies reply that only the Municipal Corporation can tell them. Beeji says that she has stored 2 buckets of water and is worriedly walking back when Chandini comes up to her and tells Beeji. Beeji worriedly tells Chandini to be careful and judicious in her use of water as there is a water cross and is again walking away when Chandini says that Manisha's missing payal was with Sheeba. Beeji turns around shocked and exclaims, What! Chandini tells her that she met Sheeba the previoius evening and is telling her the story. The scene then shifts to Sheeba who is sitting on the floor in a darkened apartment. She is conversing with someone and telling that no matter whatever I say or do, Chandini is a very stubborn girl. She kept pestering me and I had to finally meet her and then she was going on asking me questions. I had to tell her a lie that Manisha sold the payal and I think she believes it, but if she meets me again and pesters me, then the truth will slip out. Then we can see the silohouette of a lady who is resting sideways on the floor. She is wearing a low cut black dress and is smoking a cigarette. Then Sheeba says that they have to get rid of this problem called Chandini. The lady in black then dangles the same golden payal from her hand which has Manisha written on it!

Preview of next episode: Chandini is standing outside Mustapha's milk dairy which seems to be closed. She thinks to herself worriedly that how they will manage to get the badam milk now. Everybody was counting on her and because of her, the welcome will be ruined. Just then she is shocked to see a tall, hefty goonda in front of her who hands her money and tells her to book 2 return tickets back to Jalandhar. He tells that if she ever crosses Sheeba's path again, he will make life hell for her and the old budiya ( i.e. Beeji )
