Goregaon actress happy living in her Mahal

Acting was one of the career options that actress Reena Kapoor Nirjhar thought of in her formative years. But the lead actress of Woh Rehne Wali Mahalon Ki on Sahara One says she never thought about it seriously and got into it by sheer accident.
"While in Delhi, I accompanied a friend who wanted to audition for a role in a Lekh Tandon telefilm. However, I was asked to audition instead and bagged the role of the lead's sister for the serial Lavina," she says. The serial was aired on DD.
After her debut, Reena says she was flooded with modelling assignments and roles in other soaps.
She continued acting and bagged the lead role in Kise Apna Kahe on Sahara. However, she says the limelight was short-lived.
"I replaced the lead towards the end and acted in it for only three months," she says, adding, "Then I heard Sahara One was casting for a new serial. I went for auditions and had to clear two rounds before being selected for Woh Rahne Wali Mahalon Ki."
Reena says acting in the serial has been the best experience of her life.
At the same time she began shooting, Reena's personal life also witnessed a drastic change.
"I also got married during that time. There was so much happening at the same time; it was all very exciting," she says.
Speaking about her future plans, Reena says, "I intend to act for a long time and have a few proposals in the pipeline. However, nothing has been finalised yet."
Moving on to speaking about her passions, Reena says she loves to read and travel. "Erich Sehgal is my favourite author and I love reading philosophical books," she says, adding that her most prized possession is a set of four books, which her father had personally written to each of his children.
"He had meant for each of us to get our copy, but I have managed to keep even my siblings' copies," she says. To satisfy her second passion, Reena says she often heads to non-commercial destinations that are close to nature.
Thankfully, she adds that her husband shares her passion and now they are looking forward to a trip to Leh. "Karan has been to Leh before and has described the beauty of the monasteries and landscapes. I cannot wait to visit the place," she says.

What she likes about the suburb "I love living in Goregaon because of its proximity to my shooting locations, which are mostly Film City or Aarey Milk Colony."
