Well this is what indirectly the soap queen, Ekta Kapoor meant for the lead, Supriya Kumari during the press conference of her new show Bairi Piya on COLORS. She has always been known for discovering a new face on Indian television.

"I didn't know that Surpiya was in Agle Janam… If I knew that, I wouldn't have gone for her as a lead in my show. I would have preferred if there was a new face," said Ekta.
