Ria ka Adda: The Day of Revelations

Today, I was asked to follow in the footsteps of Ria and Anu and open the Adda. But these shoes are too big to fill, so instead, I appear before you in my chappals. Not as substantial but it'll do the job.

So on to the episode ...

Background: Arohi's Run-Rohi-Run sequence nixed Arjun's hanging. Arohi's guilt is eating at her. Arjun comes home as a model [looking good & saying nothing]. HP's sanskaar [?!?] are saved; his ashes chucked out. Arohi & KS become brother & sister [HP post-humously adopts KS]. Oh, and Arohi wants to come back.

It was a day of revelations. Where everything is revealed to Arjun, packaged with a bright bow on top. Arohi's success, her part in his court pardon, her revenge on P&M, and DK's part in her refusal of Arjun. One revelation after another. You might even think that the show was ending or something. Crazy thoughts. [THREE DAYS LEFT!! Yikes!]

Akshita vs. Arohi.

Akshita is in her dressing room, conversing with her alter ego, Arohi [or is it the other way around? anyways]. It's too late to go back to Arjun. Arohi is lost somewhere in this city. Now only Akshita remains. And Arjun will never love this cold-hearted fiend. This woman who abandoned him to die, when all he ever did was live for her. It's too late.

Ab na rahein woh din, woh saal, woh dilon ke sahaare. Woh mohabbat. Sab beet gaya hai. Aaj koi is had tak pyaar mein nahin doobta ke log kahein kitni mohabbat hai.

And then, she tells herself, even otherwise, how can I tell him that he is an orphan? How can I steal his family from him, just for my own selfish love? He'll find another Arohi. [What are you saying? He'll find another Arohi? I hope not! Find someone better Punji!] So it's settled. It's just too late.

So basically, even after all this, Arjun has to patao Arohi .. yet again!!

Har Har Gange.

Ganga maiya is back. This time driving Arjun ... somewhere. [truly, she is the Krishna to this Arjun, his saarathi, his driver! LOL] And she reveals the Truth to him [oops sorry..this is not the Mahabharat] she tells him Arohi save his life. And that Arohi is a grand star. The tears of happiness in Arjun's eyes are simply touching. Just beautiful. Arjun's story started with Arohi's dream, and has ended with it fulfilled. It's a grand moment for him.

Ek pal ne zindagi de di. Aur ek dil ne duniya. [Ganga's quote]

Achcha? Yeh kab hua? Kaise? Chalo..de di. Maan liya. Not convinced, but maan liya. And we get a flashbacks from the Salsa dance [bonus] episode. Still, the beauty of the moment lies in Arjun's tears for Arohi's success. Such a pure love. Such a gentle soul. Oh, Arjun Punj.

Barbaadi is in the Eye of the Beholder

You wanted it, you got it. Another quality father-son moment. Parting gift, I guess. But whatever it was, this was the most logical conversation I have seen in a while.

Arjun finds out that Arohi is the reason for P&M's bankruptcy. And DK puts it in perspective for him. They made some bad decisions, and Arohi made some good ones. Somewhere I feel DK's bad decisions were fuelled by his guilt. As far as bankruptcy is concerned, money can be re-earned. And with his family in tow, he is a rich man.

Maine apne rishte kamaa liye hai. DK, the family man, emerges.

DK the Father. Finally.

And DK, the father, walks away with the prize. For the first time in the history of KMH, DK was more concerned for his son than his ego. Absolute first time. DK tells Arjun the truth about emotionally blackmailing Arohi. The mystery is unravelled. Punji, your father is a jerk. End of mystery. [I could have told you that long back!]

Freeze frame on Arjun's anger & DK's pleading for forgiveness. End of episode.

More thoughts:

1. Kritika's acting was fantastic in her dressing room. Particularly when she is trying to get Arjun out of her head and starts screaming. Brilliant. As strange as I found the adoption story, the execution was marvellous.

2. Arjun's traffic-signal-crying (at Arohi's success) was phenomenal. Also, notice the lowered voice throughout the episode? It was like, Arjun hasnt spoken to anyone is 2.5 years, and was having difficult finding words. May not have been deliberate but the effect was great nonetheless.

3. Uhh..hello...Karan looked awesome! And surprisingly like he did in the earlier episodes, na? Similar hair cut, I think. Whatever it is, looks good.

4. Can someone please explain to me how Arohi gave dil ke liye duniya? I didnt get it. But it sounded good to hear. So chalega.

5. This was a good intense episode. The final farewell shall be memorable undoubtedly.

6. Oh yah..I love KMH. Have I mentioned that before? Well, I'll say it again.

Epi starts of at sangarsh🤣🤣. Nope not Preity zinta ka sangarsh, but next only to Lata ji ka sagarsh 🤣🤣. Oye tubelights bangaye ho kya sab ke sab? 😡😆 dont u remember that famous singer who is next only to lata mangeshkar ji??😳 Yup its Akshita Hariprasad on screen and her mann ki sangarsh , what should be the future course of action, now that her priya moo-bole pathi out of jail 🤣🤣. She remembers KS ka words from yesterday's epi. But then immediately remembers Post-HP-Death scene and how she blamed him of murder , says "Shayad bahut der hogayi hai". It did , Arohi sharma, if u couldve repented earlier, hum sab ko nau mahine thak yeh sab jelna nahin padtha 😡🤣. Akshita continues "Kya sach mein bahut der hogayi" and TA-DA Arohi ki Anthar-Athma 🤣🤣🤣. Man i seriously had lot of anthar-sangarashes 🤣🤣, but I never found another Anu infront of me talking to me 🤣🤣. Arohi talking to Akshita says "Bhaut der hogayi hai, yeh sirf chehra hai Arohi ka, naam sirf Akshita hari prasad hai". Loved how Kritica pointed that finger stressing the words. It was cool one. She continues "Jo chila chila ke keh raha tha ki meine tumhare baba ko nahin mara". Did i just happen to praise Kritica's act? Trash it 🤣🤣. Why ru shouting like that krtica, woh chilake kaha we all know that, but zara voice modulation pe dhyan do, its not right the way u said it . The same line couldve been said without shouting and wouldve made a better impact. Anyways Arohi continues "Yeh kaisi mohobbat hai , huh??". Awesome acting by Kritica at that line. I was like wowwww😊. Anyways after the dramatic realization that she has no mohabbat wohobbat 🤣🤣, Arohi disapears , Akshita crying wying feels that even if she is able to tell Dost abt her love, she cannot open-up abt the grt RAAZ, haan haan wahin DK blackmailing her one 🤣🤣. She remembers DKs blackmailing wala scene, and aheemmmm give me a min ppl😳....DK loooksssss sooooo handsomeee in that black and white scene😍. Aheemmmmm I will so miss watching him after KMH :😍 Oh BTW kya timepass drag tha again 🤣🤣🤣. PBbbbbbbbbbbbb u sure rock at dragging bhai 🤣. Anyways after some couple of lines 🤣🤣 she decides she will never meet Dost since she for her kushi wushi cant give his mom dad's balidaan 🤣🤣. BTW in this scene, guess what I was looking at and what I was feeling ?? 🤣. Nope me not watching acting wacting 🤣🤣, me watching Kritica's frills, falling in her eyes. Man they are irritating me more, how is she able to see yaar? Isnt it irritating when hair falls into eyes?. I seriously had my fingers on her eyes on my laptop screen, trying to remove those hair falling in her eyes. Ladki will go blind or squint if she has to see thru those frills for a long time 🤣🤣. Fashion is abt comfort and iam sure it isnt comfortable with hair falling in eyes, my 2cents. Also, Kritica reduce the shouting, my ears go deaf when u guys shout 🤣🤣.

DK remembers his blackmail scene. Yeh lo PB bhai u get the award "Mister Dragster" (courtesy Karishma ) for dragging these final epis too 🤣🤣🤣. Man kya yaar eek hi epi mein same flashback scene repeated twice?? 🤣🤣🤣. Dragging ki heights 🤣🤣🤣. Anyways DK says "Jo sawal tu arohi se poochna chahtha hai, uska jawab mere paas hai". Dost gets shocked, gets up looking at his dad, who is all in tears. Awwww I feel so sadddd for DK , man I cant see him in tears. I know he did a bad thing, but phir bhi crying?😭 Oh I feel bad. Dost asks "Aap jaanthe hain dad?" holding his dad's hands. DK turns back, looks into his son's questioning eyes and with tears flowing down his, says "Kyun ki mein tumhare gune gar hoon Arjun". Dost gets super shocked listening to that. DK continues "Meine hi Arohi ko emotional blackmail kiya tha, meine hi usse kaha tha ki woh kaise bhi karke tumse shaadi karne se mana karde, Iam so sorry, Iam so sorry Arjun". Dost shocked, DK crying holding his son's hands. Iam feeling super down watching a Dad crying over his mistake😭. They ruined a grt relationship with this bakwaas track.They ruined a dad-son bond. Will a son ever trust his dad back after such an act?😕. Will a father be able to see into his son's eyes after that?😕. How will a father be able to justify his act, due to which his one and only son went to gallows?😕. Is this what a Dad's love can do?😕. Satyajeet Sharma and Karan rocked and rolled this emotional scene. Karan apparently forgot his depression while acting with SS. I so loved his act at this scene. Epi ends.

Ria Ka Adda cruise

I was strolling along an unknown path when I came across a bridge which was led me to an island called Kitni Mohabbat Hai. I looked around in excitement and curiosity, but noone seemed to be there. So I decided to cross it and travese this unknown yet beautiful island. It was indeed a beauty-long roads ,huge trees along the side,fresh air and an aura of simplicity and peace. I was impressed. Even after travelling so much I never ever had come across such a land. I felt it had a divine touch to it.

As I wanderered along, I came to a port where there were number of ships anchored, all huge and majestic. I wanted to enter as it had been my childhood dream to see a cruise liner from inside. As I made my way towards one of them I saw a board saying, "Please pay and enter." I had no money and it was disheartening-so near yet so far. All the ships I crossed had that same sign. So, I walked away consoling myself, when I saw a sweet small ship having number of people on board, all chattering and laughing. They looked very friendly. I noticed that this ship had no sign like the others and its name was Ria Ka Adda. I stood there contemplating whether I should enter, when suddenly someone asked me to join in. I felt nervous, they all seemed friends,will they accept me. It took no time for people to do so. They asked my name, talked to me and made me very comfortable. I made friends with everyone. It was fun. It was a new world and I enjoyed every moment. We welcomed many people everyday on board and it had become a part of our daily life.
Everyday I came to the ship chatted, laughed, cried and enjoyed myself to the core. It had become my home. I could never ever dream of being away from these girls. If I ever felt sad, they would make me smile, if I ever felt scared there would stand by me, if I ever felt lonely they would hold my hand and take care of me, if I felt happy they would increase it manifold. I felt secured, contented and at peace. I always feel lucky to be a part of such a group. It is that friendship which is so strong that no one ever will be able to break it.

Days passed by in fun and entertainment and good spirits.

One day, I heard someone talking about the port authorities asking us to leave the island. I was shocked, why should they do such a thing. Everyone was sad, shocked, depressed, afterall it was our home and we would soon be homeless. A wave of sadness had spread throughout the adda. It was shockingly quiet. But, we were not going to give in so quickly, would we? So we protested and protested. The authorities were shocked to see our response. It lasted days but nothing favoured us. But we still didn't lose hope.

On the last day, I looked around the island for the last time, those beautiful trees , that fragrance ,that simplicity ,that aura, all would be lost as we would part forever. We would soon be sailing to another island called "Adda",which excited me a lot. It was going to be a new place altogether but the prospect of leaving this one left me sad. I stood on the deck, looking at the island with tearful eyes when I got a good news. It was announced that we might soon be back at the island if all goes well. Everyone cheered, and there was lot of excitement. If we ever came back, I would then name the island "KMH 2" as it would be a start of new adventure. The horn went off and we were sailing away, watching it for the last time as we turned round the corner, we bid farewell. I had a faint smile as all memories swam in front of me. All the fun we had-pulling each others legs, celebrating birthdays, talking for hours, joking, pushing, pulling, screaming, laughing,..ohh everything. Later on, I agreed with everyone that this island will always have a special place in our hearts forever and for always!

Ria Ka Adda is what ourselves we call,
Will be with you so that you never fall.
Ria is the one who started all this,

Anu has taken over her place,

Anjana will give you all reasons,
On why someone had comiited such treasons.
An will put u in deep thought,
U need the dictionary to understand her lot.
Minnie's homour will leave you a laughing bun,
While at night the live update is done.
Kat is a deewani no.1,
For Karan Kundra who is that one.
Natz isnt far behind here,
Keeps talking about her too dear.
Sanju will you give me ladoos,
As your post are always fundoos.
Mehr, sweet angel ours,
Has made RKA creations for hours.
Nafy is the hyper one,
If anyone makes HT's fun.
Karishma ,for making a new adda ,has to be thanked,
where we have now temporarily banked.

she writes a beauty in which I have hard luck.

Closeup for the third last time presents Kitani Mohabbat Hai. Friends, it is indeed about loving, losing and yet living, not for AA… they're going to reunite DDLJ style and live happily ever after in Simla we're told…it's loving, losing and yet living for us, the die-hard fans…come Monday we'll be transported to torture cells on 10:30 p.m. IST, baby torture cells with a dozen 'have-beens' and a starlet... 🤢

We've loved KMH dil-o-jaan se, we're about to lose it, but we won't stop living. We must never be satisfied with losing, we must get angry, terribly angry about losing and then we should do something about it, yea, yea, me back with with mera campaign ka ganaa, but you just have to help! Cos I want want season 2…period! 😳


Moving on to the episode, it was excellent (considering the constraints the team is faced with) loved Kritika's act…she's a crying champ…😆 as in, she's amazing when she cries…must've made life hell for her parents as a kid cos she's so convincing…😆the whole scene b/w Akshita and Aro, the naya puraana avtaar was so good…no wonder the article here says Kritika Kamra in serious demand, she's got to be in demand, BT will be crazy to let go of her and the bit about aaj koi iss hadd tak pyaar mein nahi doobta ki log kahen Kitani Mohabbat Hai…true, so true, for everyone but our campaign team…really, what these girls are doing, the amount of time, effort and brains they're putting in…I've come to respect each and everyone of them, I aspire to be like them…the most wonderful bunch of people I've come across in a long, long time…acha I will save my tareef nama for the last day…it's the damn line that got me started…😳then, dekho…here she goes again…ab koi nahi kahay ga Kitani Mohabbat Hai…arre…ham keh rahey haina?...and at least for the next two days saari dunya will say KMH, then some of them will forget, but then there's going to be season 2 and again everyone will say, Kitani Mohabbat Hai…we at adda will ROFL, curse, morph, praise, hail, love and hate and say, Kitani Misunderstandings Hain or Kitani Movies ki copy Hai or Kitanay Moveable structures Hain in short, Kitani Museebat Hai!!…and we'll fall in love again, live again…we won't lose again…😳I know I'm being overly optimistic, but from where I see things, voh din dur nahi when our virtual khoon paseena will color the virtual dunya…bet me! 😛


Karan Kundra- see me deewani, but I often see flaws in your act and I want to point them out takki galti se if you read my bakwasiyat takes on adda, you get to know and improve…😳your deewani number 1 won't mind I'm sure…so khair…the scene b/w AP & DK, when AP's all silent…you had kinda funny expressions…I thought that was pretty ajeeb sa…I mean, the expressions really could've been better, but post break…you were awesome…and you look so, so good…konsi chakki ka aatta you eat??😛 You get better and better every day…looks wise, me giving you 11 on 10…👍🏼acting wise, you've improved a lot since Jan, 👍🏼bas keep working at it, stay focused…you'll go a long way, me betting my house on it!😛 Don't let me down…😳


Satyajit Sharma-DK ka character assassinated…ram ram satya hai…but the actor who plays DK is excellent, dignified and does everything with panache…thanks to the actor, I still don't dislike the character…👍🏼


Two more to go, they'll meet DDLJ style, so there's going to be no nok jhok, no clarifying nada, no qasmein waadey…no shaadi, no Punji juniors…😒me very happy…😛sab kuch abhi dikha detay toh season 2 mein kya dikhate?? The pal ki zindagi and dil ki dunya will be left incomplete, to know what happens after DDLJ please join the campaign…😆aaj ki bakwaas yahin khatam hui…sorry for the ultra lame take, 😳I hardly had anything to say about the episode but that's cos me busy with, guess what?? 😛ROFL…this campaign thing and thora bohot my real life…had reserved so kuch toh post karna thaa…😳
