NC Karunya: He is a good singer, not great but a good singer, not nearly as good as he is made out to be.

Sagar Sarwarkar: I think his charm & personality is what will carry him through, as vocally he isnt that strong, however, based on the previous voting results, vocals dont matter.

Ravi Tripathi: If I had my way, it would have been Kshitij Wagh instead of Ravi. I find him boring & vocally, in his group he was the weakest after Rohit Raj Sinha.

Monali Thakur: Good singer & good emoter. There's just something about her personality that I dont like. She comes off to me as too overconfident & cocky. It might be just my imagination but thats what I get from her.

Neha Kakkar: Her unique voice & her personality is her USP. She reminds a bit of Mikalah Gordon of AI4 but only Neha is 10X a better singer. The public will vote for her for the first few weeks based on her personality but then she has to depend on her voice...

Yashashree Bhave: The only thing that makes her better than the other worthless singers is that she took a risk. Thats it. She has potential but 5 seconds of her & I'm bored. Plus, she will always be the girl who robbed Dilpreet/Renuka/Ritu. Heck even Aabha was better!

Sandeep Acharya: How he made it is still a mystery to me. I find him too sugary for my liking. He IMO shouldnt have been in the Top 12.

Panna Gill: Read Sagar's.

Amey Date: The best out of the male singers & also the most arrogant of the Top 12. I would say he is good but I'd never vote for him(Unless its an all male showdown)

Antara Mitra: She has come a long way in the image department & that itself deserves an applaud. As a singer she's good but her Piano Round performance was just about good.

Meenal Jain: She has the looks & the talent. I think her "Aao Na" performance was good but she can be better. Waiting to see what she brings on the 23rd!

Jolly Das: Another contestant who shouldnt have made it. She really annoys me with her behaviour. Her "Kabhi Neem Neem" was the worst performance till date of II2 Piano Rounds.

Neha is better than Karunya, Amey, Sagar, Monali????

She is the weakest among all the singer and looks like a ******* Except her age, there is nothing gud about her....Even she is very arrogant which was evident from Theatre round (when she straight away blamed Deepak Hela for every thing that went wrong)

And u call Amey "Arrogant", when he is famous for his down to earth attitude...He never says that he is the participant who shud be voted.....What did u see in him which provoked u to say that "He's Arrogant????" let me also know!!!!!

And "Karunya is not a very good singer" ..... Do u mean to say that Sonu is out of his senses to praise him ....or does Karunya belong to Sonu's friend circle?????

Monali is not overconfident!!! she's confident and a good singer

Sagar isnt a gud singer?????? he's definitely a gud singer and a gr8 performer...firstly tell me what do u know abt vocals???

As far as Sandeep, Ravi, Yashashree, Jolly, Meenal, Panna, Antara are concerned ,....thay all are Better than Neha w/o any doubt

So my generalised observation is that u just ctritisized everyone just to prove hook or by crook that Neha is better than everyone else!!! I dont even agree to any single point of urs....very sorry to have hurt u but I am not the person who will baselessly criticize other contestants just to prove that his fav. is the best....and also i cannot tolerate others involved in such things !!!!

Your post has been incredibly insulting as you have CLEARLY not read or maybe not understood what I have said. You have conveniently bolded half of the statements to make it seem as if I'm negative about everyone but Neha.

My comment to all the Amey fans...It doesnt matter what I think of him...It matters what YOU ALL(His fans) think.

gamezone- it was pretty rude to call Neha a b..... Yes, she isnt the greatest of singers but please avoid this name calling. It destroys the friendly atmosphhere- I understand your frustration because even Im getting frustrated by people suporting particular candidate and running down other candidates depending on how 'cute' they are or whether they they are 'arrogant'. We are looking for a 'singing sensation'- this isnt a modelling contest for god's sake.

It is an insult to good talent and music. But that is the show's format.

Btw frenchierox, I'd like to know how qualified a singer you are? How much do you know about sur, taal etc. Because if you care 'two hoots for Sonu's comments' then I wonder how you are judging someone's singing? Sonu, who happens to be the best singer in the country, and obviously knows much more about music- and dude you know what, it's his opinion that matters.

Sorry I should not have made such kind of statements to Neha. But I really hate her. The way she put the blame on Deepak Hela for everything that went wrong in their performance..didnt like it. She has been put in limelight right from the beginning of the show. The way she screams and says Jai Mata Di!! just cannot tolerate. It's all 'Show Off'
Once again I am sorry to have hurt Neha fans.

"Idol" is a TV show not a talent hunt, regardless what people have to say. If it was a talent hunt then people would not be voting & this show would have had some of the ousted contestants.

Sonu Nigam, actually all three of the judges FOR ME, will always & have always been people with opinions & I still give two hoots for what anyone of them have to say. I dont base my opinions on what others have to say.

Umm, when did you last listen to Farah Khan sing? Or Javed Akhtar? They are not singers, yet they are/were judges on very popular shows. Most of the music critics, record label owners, music producers ect are NOT singers. Simon Cowell cannot sing a note yet he can spot a star from a mile. Clive Davis is not a singer, yet he has managed to produce some of the biggest stars(Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilere, Alicia Keys ect to name a few)

Saying Sonu is the best singer in the country again is your opionion, not mine. He is certainly the most successful/popular not the best, that statement is very debatable IMO. His opinion OBVIOUSLY does not matter to most people. If it did Rahul Vaidya would have won Season 1, Ravinder Ravi would not have made it as far as he did, Aditi Paul should have been in the Top 3, Dilpreet Kaur should have been in the Top 12 as well as Ritu Pathak, Kshitij Wagh, Anuj Sharma, Jyotsna Navandar & Sandipa Dutta.

And where the do you think you get off telling me my opinion is ridiculous to a "sane music lover"? If you cannot handle someone else's opinion then DO NOT comment on his opinion.

First of all, I dont care for farah's opinion. I use Sonu's opinion as a guidance to judge someone's singing because he is one of the top singers and knows much more about music than I do. Javed Akhtar can't sing but has knowledge of music because he has written lyrics- u can't be a lyricist without having knowledge of music. And he is very experienced-he has written songs for some of India's best singers.

As for music critics well they are professionals- they have sound knowledge of what kind of music the audience would like. People like Simon manage to churn out stars because he has knowledge of music and what sounds good.

I am not questioning your music knowledge all Im asking you is that on what 'musical bases' have you based your opinion. When Sonu says that so-and-so singer isn't great he justifies it by pointing out a technical flaw. You claim Karunya is not a gr8 singer- fine then, where is his flaw? What technical flaws does he have?

Sorry if you found my comments on your opinion harsh- but if you are judging a 'MUSICAL TV show' on the basis of how 'arrogant' or how 'cocky' someone is- it does seem ridiculous! No one is denying the fact that you are an individual and are entitled to an opinion- but since you have made statements on someone's singing calibre and in some cases, their personality- then atleast botehr justifying or backing it up by evidence.

Just like you dont care about Farah's opinion, I dont care about Sonu's. I dont need someone's "guidance" to form my own opinion. Yes, you can very well be a lyricist without knowledge of music. There are many people who do that, but thats a different topic all together.

Yes, the music critics are proffessionals & I'm not. I can accept that but at one point or another, those very proffessionals were nothing but people with views. Just like you, just like me. This ends the discussion about the fact that you dont have to be a singer to judge music.

For Karunya, I said he's a good singer but not a great one. Last time I heard, being called a good singer was a compliment. Like I said he's a good singer...There's nothing about him that makes go "Wow". See, the other thing is everything is not technical, for me atleast. Technically he is a good singer but there are times I feel like "Thats been done before".

Again, if this was a music show it would have been on the radio but like you say a "MUSICAL TV SHOW" everything DOES count. Personality, charisma & style. I may NOT give much importance to any but they do somewhat count, based on India's voting. You cannot justify everything. At times its just that impression you get from someone. Long time back, during the Kolkatta audtions I said that Antara gives me a positive vibe. Now I dont know Antara from Adams yet, I was able to say that.

Lastly, I would also like to clarify one thing, that I am not an Amey hater. I'm not very active...or maybe as active on this forum as I'm on another one, but I do remember saying that Amey's "Tu Hi Rey" almost brought me to tears. I have always maintained that he is the best male singer in this competition, but obviously most of the people over here have conveniently overlooked that fact.

Amey is the best overall. Karunya is an excellent singer. Meenal is v. likeable.
