Wo, wo , wo ,wo .... Now, does Sameer give heart-attacks since he was a baby boy or is it a lethally attractive illness that he picked up in his youth? 😆......That is what I have thought about this roller-coaster guy , living on the edge everytime that I have seen him.
Let's admit it, Sameer is impulsive , headstrong , mostly thoughtless and he is completely driven by his head and his ego. He has a marshmallow heart but because of Sam's brattitude and all that 'laad-pyaar' that has bigaadofied him , the heart steps back into the shadows. He is not black , he is not white , he is grey... if he has to cross the lines to achieve something , he will do it. He doesn't give the rulebook a second thought.
And from this nature springs Sam's egoistic , aggressive but focussed pursuit of Avni Gujral. Irrespective of wehat his real feelings are for avni , he is only thinking about the gameplan right now. The plan of the brothers in which they cannot afford to fail. There is no question of debating on the right or on the wrong here , because the brothers know what they are doing to the Gujral women is wrong... but they don't give a damn... or at least they think they don't give a damn. So, when Sam corners Avni in a chamber of dark sentiments and goes to the extent of even marrying her ( if it happens at all).,.. he knows it is wrong... but if it takes him any closer to the vindication goal... so be it....Feelings dumped into a trashcan, the Gujral women are enemies.Take it or leave it...
But if there is somebody who knows Sam inside out , somebody Sam really adores , respects and opens himself up to... it is Prithvi. 😳
More than the Varun- Prithvi equation.... the Prithvi-Sameer equation has been explored a lot , with varied layers. No matter what a cute cad Sam is, for him Prithvi is his life.... a rock-solid mounatin he can fall back on , expose his strengths and weaknesses to . Since Balraj was mostly away and Varun studied elsewhere , Sameer always saw a father figure in Prithvi. Prithvi is his anchor , his guide , his conscience keeper , his mentor and all the words that you can think of when you look upto someone.
Prithvi too has treated Sam like his son . Though just a few years younger , maybe just two or max three, Prithvi has no qualms about slapping Sam when he is wrong....keeping tabs on him when he doesn;t tell him what he is upto or engulfing him in the reassuring 'Prithvi-hug' when he is down.
Prithvi is somebody in front of whom Sam can be what he is ... he can cry , he can laugh , he can lie , he can be weak , he can be strong. He doesn;t care two hoots about his image when it comes to Prithvi. It is only with Prithvi that Sameer can be himself.
Of course , all brothers love each other , but it is only Prithvi who can control Sam , make him see reason , make him listen to him and balance out his energies.
Sam is like those aggressive crashing sea waves and Prithvi is the rock who calms him down when he beats against him.
