Finally Star Plus gets its Mahabharat

The latest to join the mytho bandwagon is Swastik Pictures. After the success of Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo , the production house is all set to make a foray into this genre. The production house apparently is all set to make one of the most popular epics Mahabharat for Star Plus. Bobby Bedi was originally given the charge of producing the mytho for Star Plus which was tipped to launch in the month of August, 2008. The channel announced the making of the epic amidst much fan-fare but the deal went kaput as allegedly Bedi couldn't deliver what was promised. Now it appears that the reigns of making the mytho have been passed on to Swastik from Bedi.

Informs a source, "After Agle Janam, Swastik will now produce a mytho for Star Plus. The casting of the same will start in the next two days. This is a huge responsibility and the production house is leaving no stone unturned to make it a successful venture. If everything falls in place, the mytho will launch by the year end."

We sent a text message to producer Siddharth Tewary and even called him but he didn't revert. All attempts to reach the channel too were futile.

We hope Tewary continues his success streak with this one. And Star Plus too strikes gold.

Now lets see how production house other then sagar and creative eye makes our Epic. hope to see Krishna stories in detail. But i have not yet seen any episode of any serial of this swastik picture. Any watcher of Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo here? what you think how the new director and production house will make this show?

SWASTIK pictures r also the makers of the socio mytho show mata ki chauki on sahar aone

the show mata ki chaukie is just avearge types

i saw few episodes of the show

agle janam mohe bitiya ...is a hit show on zee

but cant say how swastik pictures will deal with MAHABHARAT

i wsih they make MAHABHARAT with full sincerity !!!

look star is making mahabharat & colors-sagar pictures ended our very great show JAI SHRI KRISHNA

i wish JAI SHRI KRISHNA returns back on colors ,(in new format /new title ) with meghan as KRISHNA !!!

& this time they show us the stories of LORD KRISHNA besides MAHABHARAT

waana see all the stories of LORD KRISHNA which r never ever seen before !!!

Yes sita di, star plus is doing his best to get serial on MB for his channel but here on colors sagars picture ending their show giving reason that people would not like watching MB. this is quite surprising. I too wish JSK returns back in new format. All depends on makers and the channel. Lets see what happens. Swastic picture has not as much experiance in mytho as sagars so we can not predict how it will handle this BIG project but i am eager to watch this show to see how some one new in mytho takes it.😊

Sita..I dont think they will change the name incase if they want to re-telecast JSk...they must have surely shot som episodes...but due to bairi piya..colors must have informed them not to shoot anymore..as they wont be showing JSK further...

If they come in new format or title what will happen if they still stick to their Sagar Puran..?😊😃

Swastik Productions make very good shows, both Agle Janam and Mata Ki Chowki are very good. They have a little bit of experience of mythos, as they show some stories in Mata Ki Chowki! I wish them good luck and advise them not to use actors in the industry already, or maybe only one or 2!

Also, they use famous characters from Mahabharat in Mata Ki Chowki and Agle Janam, such as Draupadi (Rupa Ganguly) and I think it was Chitrangada (Sudesh Berry) from B.R. Chopra's Mahabharat!

Yes Sudesh Berry was in Mahabharat...i have seen few episodes of Mata ki chowki...But havnt seen Agle janam....

Omygod Rajnish I had butterflies in my stomach by just reading the topic title 😳 Honestly I did and after reading it increased 😳 I hope they do VERY WELL research and if not atleast see B.R. Chopras MB and Ramanand Sagars Shri Krishna MB part to show the right things. I get very hesistant now while seeing that a new mytho show will start.

Ekta Kapoor ji had said she ll make her version of MB and I hve to give it to the lady, she kept her words. She actually made her version only!!

So I really hope this person will show the real things only. Agle janams lead gurl is that Ratan Rajput gurl who had said about Lord Krishna being a tapori and all that 🤢 LOOSER!!!!!!
