"I am not satisfied with my body of work in 2005"

With TV awards been given out by the dozen, it
seems that these TV actors really have no reason to complain. We
catch up with Tellydom's superstar Ronit Bose Roy,and ask him what an award really means.
"There are these critic(jury) awards and then there are the popular
awards. If you get a jury award, then that means your work is being
appreciated, you are being appreciated. A popular award means that
the character you portray is being appreciated." says Ronit, who
currently portrays two hugely popular roles on TV, Rishabh Bajaj and
Mihir Virani.
"I am not satisfied"
"Nevertheless, an award means a lot to any actor." he quips when we
probe him further. Whilst other actors refuse to comment on why they could not rake in any awards, Ronit is different. He shares the
real reason why he was not awarded after putting in a long hard year
of work-
"I do not beleive that I have done anything worth awarding in 2005.
My body of work in 2005, I am not satisfied with the work I have done. And naturally, if I have not been satisfied with my own work,
I cant expect my audience to be happy." says the man on a rather
serious note.
Always a winner
Ronit may not have won any awards for year gone by but Ronit remains a winner due to the unprecedented love that he gets from
his fans all around the world-"For me, an award means a token of
love and appreciation from my audience, from the people who I
work for. It's not like I've won some race or come first or anything.
It's their love and admiration for me that makes up for a award",
concludes Ronit Roy as he signs off.
After winning the Best Actor of the Year as Mihir Virani once, all that Ronit needs is the love of his audience, which he will always have.
