No kissing for TV actors!

The furore over Sach Ka Saamna had just settled when another controversy erupted in tellyland.

A Balaji audition held asked aspirants to dress minimally and kiss! There may have been outrage, but no official complaint has been filed, says Dharmesh Tiwari, President, Cine and Television Artists' Association (CINTAA). Hence there will be no action. Censor Board member Nandini Sardesai, who feels strongly about the issue, says, "I find it in poor taste. Kissing passionately can hardly be the yardstick for judging acting skills. It is very demeaning to both males and females. It is very derogatory to the human spirit." But what do actors from tellyland have to say? Well, while some preferred not to comment, a few others adopted the diplomatic route and of course a handful spoke their mind...

I am sorry but maybe I am thinking of this in a weird way but if they weren't comfortable with the demands why turn up in short clothes? Then a kiss, that's pretty normal they were asked to do it because it was to see if they are comfortable to do it on screen, again if unhappy leave.

Ok Indian Society ok this may not happen in public, but I am sure it still happens in India if you see it in cinema why not on TV, like Jab we Met at the end there was a full on kiss, LAK, Murder come on Dostana for god sake whether or not it was computer graphics had a kiss etc... so why not TV? I am sure it has a similar audiance

Like ammoos said they were never asked to this publicly and Ekta did not disclose any information about it to anyone so it was the people auditioning that kicked up a fuss if they don't want to do it no one forced them and if they wanted the job badly enough they should have sucked it up and auditioned!
