Santu is getting things ready for Subhi's shraadh! Taru tries to stop her saying that she is no longer in the family. DM sees this and tells Taru that Santu is like a daughter to Baa and Bapuji, so she can do the necessary things. Taru gets ticked off.
Santu is getting Subhi's pic and standing on a ladder. She loses balance and falls flat on the floor on her back with the photo of Subhi on top of her. She screams out "maalik" and DM comes running to her and helps her to get up. He notices that her bindi got stuck to the photo and goes to put it on Santu, but realizes he doesn' t have the right any more. He asks her to put it on. This was a cute scene and he calls her dufford for not asking for help. He affectionately scolds her, too sweet!
Everything is getting ready for the pooja and the priest calls out to Hiten to come and do the rituals. Hiten comes down and refuses to do pooja to his ma, because his ma is alive and tells that Santu is like his ma!
DM is looking happy, Baa and Bapuji are elated. Santu has tears of joy. Taru is looking like someone struck her. Maulik is shocked.
DM calls Maulik to do the rituals. Taru goes in to a fit mentally thinking that she is Maulik's ma and that she is alive and well. Santu thinking the same thing at the same time, that how can Maulik do the pooja when his real ma is alive. Taru decides to keep the secret and lets Maulik carry on with the rituals.
Santu comes and talks to Hiten and asks how can he do this to his ma's memory. Hiten emotionally tells her that she is like his ma. Santu says that it's a little too late now for him to consider her ma, as the divorce papers have been signed. Hiten tells her that they are just papers, but in her heart that DM is her hubby and they are her children. He points out that she is still wearing the mangalsutra.
After a thoughtful conclusion, Santu comes to DM's room and takes off her Mangalsutra and leaves it at DM's feet and gets his blessings. DM is looking thoughtful.
