Dance India Dance season one winner Salman Khan is busy grooming himself for acting. He got his first taste of it when he shot a song with his superstar namesake, Salman Khan, for the film Wanted: Dead or Alive.
The Bollywood star had some advice for his junior. "We chatted for 10-15 minutes. He gave me some guidelines on how to behave in this industry and how it works here. He is my icon and I do not care what the world thinks about him. I want to be like him."
Choreographer-director Prabhudeva's assistant put together the song. "I did not give any inputs, but they asked me what more I could do, and I told them that I can do fire dance and some more variations which added in the song. I am quite excited to see myself on the big screen, but I have no idea when this video will be shown in the movie. I did not get a chance to see it," says Salman.
The dancer has also been offered two movies, but wants to prepare for them first. "Right now, I am attending acting workshops, they're more like personality development workshops conducted by students of Satyajeet Dubey Rajyashree at the Ravindra Natya Mandir. She teaches us about dialogue delivery and body language, how to walk and talk, how to show the qualities we have. This will go on for a fortnight or a month."
Salman will soon be going on a tour along with other Dance India Dance contestants to the US, the UK and Africa.
