Hi there! This is my second fanfic, and I promise it will be shorter that the last. This one starts off at Prem and Geet's wedding. Although this is the second fanfic that I wrote, I have read hundreds. This is a songfic..and the song involved is Just Walk Away by Celine Dion. I changed the lyrics at the end a bit to fit the story a bit better. You'll see what I mean. 😉
~Juneja house~
Prem is sitting in the mandap waiting for Geet. Heer is standing on the sidelines with Chahat.
* HEER POV*

'Mein tumse bahot pyaar karti hoon Prem. Lekin tumhari khushi isi mein hai ke tum Geet se shaadi kar lo. Wo tumhe bahot pyaar degi Prem, mujhse bhi zyaada. Aur wo tumhe rulayegi bhi nahi, jaisa maine tumhe har pal rulaaya hai. Chahat tumhare saath bahot khush rahegi, mujhe is baat ki koi chintaa nahi. Geet bhi use bahot pyaar degi, itna pyaar ke tum dono mujhe poori tarha se bhool jaoge.' Heer thinks.

Heer takes a good long look at Prem, memorizing his every feature, his lightly stubbled chin, the way that one lock of hair just won't sit in place and keep getting into his eye, his expressive eyes, his sensually curved nose, his warm lips, his large calloused yet gentle hands, every little feature of his. Then she turns to Chahat, and tries to engrave into her memory her daughters button nose, her gorgeous big eyes, her golden smile, her cute ponytailed hair, her sweet minnie mouse voice, every little feature of her daughter.
She chokes back tears, turns to Chahat, and says "Chahat Mama aap se bahot pyaar karti hai."
"Mama, mein bhi aap se bahot pyaar karti hoon."
"Mama abhi aati hai, yahi khadi rehna"
"Okay mama"
She takes her last long look at her love, her Prem. "Alvida" she softly whispers, a whisper that's inaudible, consumed in the background noise.

'Heer, maine tumse itna pyaar kiya ke apne aap ko maine kho diya. Kyu kar rahi ho tum aisa Heer. Mein jaan ta hoon ke aaj tumhe mujhe shaadi karte hue takleef ho rahi hai, to kyu tum ye shaadi nahi rok deti Heer? Maine galti se ek raat kisi aur ladki ke saath bitayee to tumhe itni takleef hui Heer, to aaj tum khud apne hi haatho se mujhe kisi aur ke haath mein kaise saup sakti ho?'

'Agar tum ye shaadi nahi rokogi Heer, to mein ye shaadi rokunga. Mein tumhari aankhon me ye dard nahi dekh sakta, aur naahi to mein khud is dard ke saath jee sakunga. Mein aa raha hoon Heer.'
Prem gets up from the mandap just as Geet is walking down the stairs.
"Prem ye tu kya kar raha hai, kaha jaa raha hai beta?" Gayatri asks.
"Mein ye shaadi nahi kar sakta" Prem says.
"Lekin kyun?" Gayatri asks
"Aap jaanti hai kyun. Mein aaj bhi apni patni se, apni Heer se pyaar karta hoon. Mein Geet se shaadi nahi kar sakta. Mujhe maaf kijiye." Prem says
"Heer?" Geet asks, shellshocked. "Heer tumhari pehli patni hai Prem?"
"Haa Geet, mein jaanta hoon ke hum ne tum se ye baat chupa ke tumhare saath theek nahi kiya, lekin mein tumhe wo pyaar kabhi nahi de paata jis ki tum apne pati se umeed karti ho, kyunki mein aaj bhi Heer se pyaar karta hoon"
"Ye sab kya ho raha hai Gayatri?" Jasmeet Aunty inquires, furious.
"Jaane do maa, mein ye shaadi nahi karna chahti" Geet says.
"Geet beta..."Jasmeet aunty starts, only to get cut off by Geet.
"Jao Prem, apni Heer ke paas." Geet says understandingly.
"HEER!" Prem bellows, looking around for her.
"Papa, mama pata nahi kahaa chali gayi. Wo mujhe yaha khada kar ke boli ke wo do minute me aati hai, lekin das minute ho gaye." Chahat says.
"Kyaa...." Prem trails off and leaves the house looking for Heer.
~HEER'S POV~
'Ab tum Geet ke ho jao ge. Tum mujhe kabhi yaad mat karna Prem, apni zindagi mein khush rehna, aur tumhari is khushi mai mein bhi khush reh lungi. Philaal tumhe khone ke dukh ne mujhe gher liya hai. Lekin koi baat nahin, ye dard bhi waqt ke saath kam ho jayega. Apni zindagi me aage badho Prem, aage badho'

*PREM POV*
"HEER! HEER!" Prem runs outside looking for Heer. He spots her walking in the distance. He runs up to her. "HEER!"
She stops and turns around. "Prem?" He catches up to her. "Tum yahaa.." He cuts her off.
"Kahaa jaa rahi thi tum? Huh? Tumhari problem kya hai huh? Pehle tum hi meri shaadi ke peeche padi thi na, to phir yahaan kyu chali aayi. Mein tab tak shaadi nahi karunga jab tak tum khud aa kar mujhe apni aakhon se shaadi karta hua nahi dekh lo." She tries to turn away from him, but he grabs her arm and pulls her close to him.
"Kya hua Heer? Tumhari aankhon me ye kya dekh rahaa hoon? Dard ho raha hai Heer?"
"Haa Haa dard ho rahaa hai. Nahi dekh sakti tumhe shaadi karte hue. Nahi dekh sakti apne Prem ko kisi aur ka hote hue, nahi dekh sakti. Che saal pehle bhi nahi dekh payi thi aur.. aur aaj bhi nahi dekh sakti." Heer screams with tears streaming down her face.
Prem cups her face with his hands, "Yehi to mein chahta tha Heer, mein yehi to sunna chahta tha. Mein jaan ta tha ke tum nahin dekh paogi, kyu ke aaj bhi tum mujhse utna hi pyaar karti ho jitna pehle kiya karti thi. Mein bhi tumse bahot pyaar karta hoo Heer. Nahi reh sakta tumhare bina. Is liye tumne shaadi nahi roki to mein hi tod ke aa gaya."
He wipes her tears away. "Mein tumse bahot pyaar karti hoo Prem, bahot pyaar karti hoon."
He hugs her tighter and says, "I know"
*HEER POV*
