Rajeev Khandelwal's 'Sach Ka Saamna', the much hyped reality show on Star Plus which had opened with a record TRP rating of 4.59 for a non-fiction show, is all set to go off air on September 18.
Sources say that after the show was shifted from its earlier primetime slot of 10.30 pm, it could not sustain its popularity among the masses, and as a consequence the channel decided to end the telecast after completion of fifty episodes.
However, Anupama Mandloi of Star Plus says that the show had been planned only for fifty episodes, and so its going off air from September 18 does not reflect badly on the content of the show or its popularity.
Whatever is the truth but now it will be replaced by 'Perfect Bride' on Star Plus. The new show will have ten brides of whom five would be finally chosen to marry the grooms on the show. The grooms will get help from their mothers in selecting perfect brides for themselves. The show will carry a cash prize of Rs 25 lakhs.
The perfect bride' will also have star mentors like Shekhar Suman, Malaika Arora Khan and Amrita Rao.
