Katrina Kaif is excited to receive the Rajiv Gandhi award.

She says, "Excited to receive the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi award that people like Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan got previously!"

The actress is also looking forward to her next release Rajneeti, with co-star Ranbir Kapoor. "Rajneeti will hit the screens early next year; probably in February or March! Nothing is finalized as of now," says the actress.

She also clears rumours of starring in a classic with Aamir Khan. She states, "The rumours that I'm in a remake of a classic with Aamir are completely baseless...There is still time for me to do such roles!"

There has also been news about her surname.. that it's really Turquotte, and not Kaif as she claims. So, what's her take on that? The actress tweets, "And for people wondering, yes, my passport name is Katrina Turquotte. I changed it because it'll be easier for people to call me. Nothing more."

Well Kat has gotten a lot of free publicity form this name puzzle.. She dosnt even need publicity during her next release.. Good for her! lolz

How much true is this article?

Rajneeti already have been confirmed for a 22nd January 2010 release but here in this article its something completly different!

She already have cleared the rumors about the movie with Aamir! so is this taked from her old Nakshatra interview?

hmmm me wondering if this article is true and me wondering if this is what Kat have been said but anyways if its true then me happy that Kat did tell about her passport name is Turquotte and me soo happy she slammed the news about she isnt indian i want to read that magazine soo badly please someone get that magazine and get the scans asap!!

Not really. We met at a party once and just greeted each other.

DID YOU CHANGE HER SURNAME?
She had an English surname, which was not easy to pronounce. She is not Katrina Kaif originally. She is Katrina Turquotte. We wanted to give her a surname which would be accepted by the Indian audience. First we thought of naming her Katrina Kazi, but then we thought Kazi would have a religious overtone. So we thought of Kaif.

BUT IT IS SAID THAT SHE HAS A KASHMIRI FATHER.
If that's what she says, you have to believe her. Her name on her passport that time was Katrina Turquotte !!
