Vibha Anand, better known as Sugna in Balika Vadhu, turns 18 today (September 8)
"I hope everyone remembers that today is my birthday and they give me some kind of surprise. I hope I get a chance to celebrate," the actress says, adding, "I was supposed to get a laptop this birthday from WHOM? but this is the Shradh season, when you are not supposed to buy anything new. When it is over, he will buy me a laptop. It is my dream to have one."
Now that she is an adult, Vibha wants to do the things she couldn't till now. 'I am an adult, and no one can tell me 'Tum bacchi ho, yeh nahi kar sakti ya woh nahi kar sakti'. First, I am going to learn driving and get my licence. Then I will get my picture on my pan card, which has minor written on it. And I won't be called a child artist anymore." Plus, she can also vote from now on.
Talking about her memories of birthdays, Vibha says, "All my birthdays have been memorable. When I was a kid I would dress up and go to school and distribute chocolates. The best part about birthdays was that the teachers wouldn't scold you. It was fun." And no birthday is complete for her without chocolate cake.
Last year, however, the teenage actress cried on her birthday because she couldn't meet her family. "I cried a lot, then my papa came here and gave me a nice Fast Track watch. Though I've lost it now, it was a memorable gift." Vibha says that her mother always gives her gifts in gold, such as a gold ring that she gave her last year. Her mother will not be able to come down from Dehradun this year because of her younger brother's exam.
Vibha has not made plans to party with her friends since she is shooting, but we hope she has a fabulous day.
