I hope this is one of those promos where what they show in the promo never happens in the episode.

I have the same question as dipshit - why is Santu crying her heart out? Wasn't this her idea? Did she not put pressure on DM to accept the divorce after he had torn up the papers the first time around? Her argument was how can "Maa" be happy if her "Beta" is not happy?

Yes, you're right - a 40+ man romancing an 18 year old girl is depraved and borderline illegal (at least in the UK I think). But this isn't a story of some 40 year old sugar daddy seducing some naive little nymph. This is a story of circumstances necessitating a marriage between two people different in almost every way (including age) and finding common ground, respect, understanding that crosses all these things. A bond of a different kind of love to that we are use to seeing on TV where people fall in love all over the place usually on stupidly superficial things (initially anyway).
That's the crux of the show and why I watch it, rather than any other love story that's been shown right now. Have you read Sense and Sensibilty by Jane Austen? There's a touching and telling love story of the Captain and Marrion which has a similar old man/young woman story done tastefully.
To be honest, it's just nice to see a story where we are not supposed to believe that an earth shattering/ soul destorying/ world ending love results from about 5 meetings, a few winks and kisses and asman se gira sign.

You have said it beautifully. Bravo👏 We are not seeing some sleezy story here. I love this jodi. RR makes such a respectable DM that we( ladies) have fallen in love with him. No matter what, DM and Santu will not be divorced in the end😃 Everything will work out.

Hi Vsharma3000

IT would be wrong if santu herself wouldnt want to be with DM, but she is in love with him. Nobody is forcing her to be with him, but she wants to be with him. So i dont think age does matter if they both wants to be together.

So in my eyes its not wrong, because she has fallen for DM, i thougt it was wrong when they in the first place got married - but now when its turned out to be a love story between them, now i feel she has the right to be married with him.
I can see your meaning aswell, but sometimes love dont see the age, nobody was forcing her to love DM, she did it. We never choose ourselfs to feel for people, the feelings just comes, if we like it or not.

Hello Everyone,

Do you not see that it is not right for a 40+ man to marry and be with an 18- year old? I know it is just a serial, but we live in this society,do you not think it is morally wrong to be cradle snatching?
Can you imagine in a TV serial in India they might ever show a 40-year old woman marrying an 18- year old?

Dear this soap is inspired by a novel which was based on a true incident happened in Gujrat.....it does happen....

thatz what i hv always been saying....but u hv made DM 10 years younger....he is actually 50+.....their age diffrence is even more than my age diff with my father.
i know this happens in society specially in villages....but this is disgusting.....just like child marriage happens in society but is not acceptable....same way marriages like SanRaj's r also deplorable.
and also the reason behind their marriage is a pure selfish act from DM's side. yes, one reason was that the groom had fled, but DM had his own reason. he married her to save his business.

Doesn't change the fact that they are now in love with each other....if two people can fall in love ignoring their relationship....then why can't two people of dissimilar ages fall in love. When did it become wrong to love someone because they are much too older/younger?....world is full of very successful, lasting relationships with big age differences. If they had shown DM to be a sleazy, old guy, out to force a young, pretty thing...I would be against it too....in fact I would be all for sending him to prison. But that is not the case here....he did not force himself on Santo and she fell in love with him all by herself, no one forced her to fall for him. Now to say that they shouldn't be together because of something like an age difference, thats just silly.

I think if any two people have a right to be with each other, its certainly DM-Santo....what they have is strong and enduring and not a flash-in-the-pan....especially because of all the things they have been through and all they have faced to get here....and age has absolutely no importance in their case.
