Don't be surprised if a dream song sequence in Raj Chakraborty's Prem Aamar reminds you of Suraj hua madhyam from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham or Hai guzarish from Ghajini. Tolly couple Soham and Payel did in Leh what Kajol-Shah Rukh Khan did in Egypt or Asin-Aamir Khan did in Namibia. To capture the snazzy, breezy feel of the Bolly tracks, Raj's camera panned the limestone cliffs of Leh while his lead pair sang and danced at an altitude of 21,000ft above sea level! Though all this might sound very exciting, shooting in the picturesque Himalayas was anything but pleasant. "The journey to Leh was the toughest. We travelled from Srinagar by road, crossed Dras and then Kargil to reach Leh. Leh is breathtakingly beautiful, so we shot the two song sequences almost immediately after reaching there. And since we didn't rest at all, all of us had a terrible headache apart from running a temperature. Later we learnt that doctors ask tourists to rest for at least two days after reaching Leh in order to adjust to the climate!" said Raj, whose Prem Aamar hits the theatres later this month. |
