Producer Rajan Shahi, who has given Colors hit shows like Bidaai and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, had run into trouble with the channel.
Trouble began when the cast for the show Swarg had to be decided. Shahi wanted fresh faces for the show after having signed on Vinny Arora to play the lead. The channel, however, seemed to be in a tearing hurry and signed on a small time TV anchor called Archana Taide to play the female lead in the serial. According to sources, Taide even dropped out of other assignments that she had offered to do. Shahi not too happy with the channel's choice and made his displeasure known to them. The channel, which could not afford to displease the producer of its hit shows, signed on another girl called Snigdha Srivastav, who has worked in the Colors' show Rahe Tera Aashirwaad.
This seems to have solved the dispute between Shahi and the channel.
