Bollywood actor Salman Khan on Thursday attended a function that was hosted exclusively for mentally challenged children in Rajasthan's capital city Jaipur.

Salman was accompanied by choreographer Prabhu Deva, who has directed Khan's upcoming movie 'Wanted', were invited by Umang, a voluntary organisation that works for the welfare of mentally challenged children.

The children were excited to see their favourite actor amidst them, and danced to the tune of songs from Khan's movie including hits from his upcoming movie, 'Wanted'.

A visibly emotional Salman was seen obliging the children with his autographs, and further he and Prabhu Deva also enthusiastically joined the dancing children.

Earlier in 2007, Salman had visited the kids of Umang. He said that he will keep coming to Jaipur to meet children of Umang.

"That year also it was lot of fun. This year also it was a lot of fun. Isn't it? I will keep coming again and again," said Khan.

Salman also announced to donate Rs. 5,00,000 for a new building, which Umang intends to construct for these children. (ANI)

This is so weird. I have trouble deciding whether I like or dislike the guy.

He passes ridiculous comments on fellow costars for publicity, and then supports a good cause.

I dont think sallu does it for publicity. If sallu did things for publicity, he would be careful about what he said and appeal to the media more. He wouldnt invite the team of All the Best on his show DKD to promote their movie when its releasing on the SAME DAY AS HIS OWN.

Sallu's only fault is his honesty. He's too honest, too forthright, and doesnt care about the consequences of his words. If he's asked about someone he doesnt like or hasnt gotten along with, he will not even TRY to mask his response with sugarcoated answers. He'll say it. He'll call a spade, a spade. He doesnt get along with someone, he doesnt get along with em, simple.

He seems like he has a heart of gold. I dunno why...but there's something about sallu that's just SO GENUINE. And his fans can vouch forhim, and so do his closest friends in teh industry. I remember Sush recounting one time when her daughter was ill, and she didnt ahve a car, she called sallu up in the middle of ht enight and he came over to help right at that instant.

I've seen this guy being mobbed by a massive crowd, and at a time when he almost escaped to his car, I've seen him turn around and pause in his steps because the security had started ot beat some poor fan up who wanted to get close up to him. ANd I've seen him yell at the security to quit it.

Ther'es just somethign about sallu that's very REAL and endearing. I cant put my finger on it.

All in all, if I see Sallu in real life, I know Id be tempted to go up there and give him a HUGEEEE HUG.

And I dont even know why 😆

Aww no worries Rhea.

Sallu adn Bebo are one of hte most misunderstood celebs in btwon. But I can vouch for sallu. He's gone through a lot in life, and no doubt, he's made mistakes.
He's not flawless, but then, no one is. ONly difference is, he's an open book.

I really do mean that hug bit. Such a warm human being sallu!

I dunno why, but if not saifu adn bebo, the one person I'd wanna meet not connected with em is sallu. I just feel like it'll be a pleasant experience. Ofcourse, on a good day though, lol. Dont wanan run into him when he's in a bad mood.
