Ranvir always knew. When he first made his entry, he didn't call her chotima but masi or something like that. I'm sure Ranvir and Naveen know. The only reason the bahus didn't know was because they never saw them interacting as sisters.

The main point is not only that Ranvir knew it, but Ragini didn't react at all when Ranvir mentioned today Chotti Maa, as Vasu's elder sister, it means he might told her, but the creatives should had showen this, it seems really silly, when they show it like this and skip such an important point in the serial.........

They never showed how he knew, but when he made his entry for the first time in the serial, he addressed Ambika as maasi... and Satyen as chachu... so this is not a blooper... I clearly remember this because at that time when he called her masi, and then the next time when he called her chotima, I was kind of confused, but then I made a guess that Vasu and Ambika are sisters... I guessed this even before they showed this in the serial... so this is not a blooper...
