Hi All.. I do not post very frequently.. But since quite some time I have seen many people saying that MN have lost their charm.. which I agree to completely.

I have been a MN fan since the very beginning and have watched their old scenes on youtube countless of times.. but something about them dont click any more and I do not look forward to the clock to strike 9.

So my question to all of you is ... when was the last MN scene which you all really liked? When do you think that Mayank has stopped acting the cool, sarcastic guy that we saw in the initial months? Since when do you think tht MN have lost their charm?

the last MN scene that we all really LOVED was the rain scene n the walk home scene!! :)

I agree.. that was the last time we saw the original MN.. I think from then on, MN has been completely destroyed.. There is no way that we are getting our original MN back.. and to think of it, PD had promised us a 'kick ass' MN track post confession.. yeah right! *rolls eyes*

i personally dont think it went down hill.....ive been watching this show for 2 weeks and ive only watched mayank-nupur scenes hehe....and i think the way their story has shaped up shows character progression.....ab insaan hamesha ek hi hisaab se nahin pesh aayega.....i mean mayank is still sarcastic....when he deals with others.....but nupur is his girl ;).....hes obviously bound to change his behavior towards her....hes now kind and considerate towards her....and he still pulls her leg even when he tries to pacify her.....for that reason i dont think theres anything wrong with whats shown....ya dialogues can have a lil bit of improvement....ive seen many people who have changed after being in love.....i think its only natural that mayank is a little more cautious now especially when hes around nupur.....but his basic nature is still the same which is shown in the shut up scene......my only problem with this is that mayank and nupur are not shown that much and are sidelined......i think they make the show.....but ya.....im pretty satisfied with the way things are shaping up between mayank-nupur.....naina

well i watched it from the beginning but i started watching it 2 weeks ago....maybe to watch it all at one go makes a difference

i dont think it is going down...actually mayur scenes aur jada dekhne ko milta to aur bhi achcha hota....i watch mjht only for them....and i love all the scenes of arti....

There is no straight answer for this cuz MN were never given a proper storyline...things were up and down many times but some tracks redeemed things intermittently like the jungle track....but then it again went down with the ridiculously stretched 'confusion' phase of Mayank....the 'realization' that MN finally have before Jaage Jaage was another example of half baked crap that made no sense.

The entire play track was utter nonsense as well with Mayank acting like a smug jacka$$.....in the end, things were redeemed a bit with the confession hug and the walk back home scenes and there was a chance to start afresh.....but all went down the drain soon enough as the era of CUTOUTS, TACKY LOCKETS, and ghatiya cheesy dialogues began.

Now even the actors can't bring any spark to how lame MN have been made....they are supposedly 'in love'....but for the most part M acts like N's lapdog or like a cheesy wannabe loverboy and Nupur throws bimbo like tantrums and tries to act like a gundi....I'm not interested in this b.s....this is not the MN I loved.

Anu, I am a silent reader in this forum, and must say that I love to read your posts.. thanks for replying. I must confess that when mayank was acting like a jerk during the rehearsal days, i still used to defend MN as they were my favourite couple. I have never been hooked to an onscreen couple as much as I have been a fan of theirs.

I have watched their past scenes so many times, speaking of which I should mention that I loved reading your "MN reminiscing posts". Now a days I just watch them out of habit. I dont even rewind their scenes anymore and there is no repeat value to their scenes. For me, that itself is a big proof of how things have deteriorated with MN.
