| Dhanashri Kulkarni/Hill Road Media A few days ago, small-time TV actress Urvashi Dhanorkar was arrested for abusing and torturing her 10-year-old domestic worker. There was also news of Bollywood actress-singer Suchitra Krishnamurthy and TV stars Laxmi and Uma Khan allegedly employing child labour. Child labour is illegal, and anyone who employs a child younger than 14 years can be charged under the Child Labour & Prohibition Act and the Juvenile Justice Act. They can be fined up to Rs 20, 000 and even convicted for six months to two years. We asked a few tele-stars for their reactions on this serious issue: | |
