One Shot - My Beloved Sister . . .

Am back with yet another one shot but this time, my inspiration is my best friend, my sister . . . Jasnoor. She's not well and now I've realized how much important she is. Bless her and I'm sure she'll get alright very soon. Here goes my one shot . . . only for u Jass . . . get well soon! J Here, the telephonic conversation is just like the conversation we had last night when she informed me that she won't turn up for school since she's not well. She's Gunjan and I am Nupur. Since, am a MayUrian I've molded it up this way. Hope, you guys like it and once again, God bless Jasnoor. 😊

On one fine day, Mayank and Nupur were sitting on the bench of a garden. Nupur didn't know why but she felt very nostalgic, Mayank sensed it and asked her what the matter was, she kept her head on his shoulder and said, "Mayank, look at those children . . . that gal is so caring . . . just look at way she's taking care of her brother and I . . . I'm such an irresponsible sister! Since the very beginning!"

Mayank said," No ways Nupur, have u lost it?? You are a very caring and responsible sister, what made u think like this? And by the way, why have kept your head on my shoulder . . . yahan kitne sare log hain yarr!"

Nupur got all teary. 😭

Mayank, " Am so sorry, I was just joking . . . why would I mind? Please stop crying" 😕

Nupur, " By God, you are so sweet . . . actually, I wasn't crying because of what u said but because of what had happened 6 years back." 😭

FLASHBACK

The H1N1 virus was spreading faster than a computer virus. L It had hit all parts of India also, especially places like Morena, Shimla, Delhi and Mumbai. Gunjan caught hold of this terrible disease that to when her sister and father were not with her! 😭

Nupur had gone out for a school trip to Ooty and her father was out on a business trip! Gunjan was in 9^th standard and couldn't even prepare for her exams.

Nupur was unaware of this, she called up Gunjan one day.

N ' Gunjan! How are u? Am missing u so much! Ooty is such a nice place. Wish, even u were here! We would have enjoyed a lot.

G ' Am missing u too Di. 😭

She sounded very weak. 😭

N ' What happened? Are u alright??

G ' Actually di . . . I got my blood tested and am . . . and the result of positive!

N ' For what??

G ' Swine Flu. Di, am not even able to study properly . . . I didn't go to school to today, plus I couldn't even prepare for my exam which is tomorrow. 😭

Nupur was not in a state of saying anything. She started crying. 😭

G ' Di, what happened? Are u there? 😲

N - G . . . Gunjan . . . am so sorry! Am not there with u on such a crucial stage! Bauji is also not at home! What about the medicines?? Is Verma jhi helping u out?? I mean he knows no one's at home. I'll be back very soon, Dun u worry . . . be positive and dun loose hope.

G ' Di, chill . . . yes, Verma jhi is helping me and Chacha jhi also keeps visiting me after every one hour. Thank God that it got detect early else, I would have . . .

N ' Shut up Gunjan! Dun u dare utter a word! 😡 Tujeh kuch nahi hoga! Did u hear me? Am coming back, bad mein jaye Ooty!

G ' No ways Di, I'm alright . . . the doc said I'll be alright very soon but would be unable to give my exams! And hey, stop crying! Please Di. 😭

N ' Okay but are u sure?

G ' About what?

N ' That you need me to come back!

G ' Absolutely Di!

N ' Okay, bye . . . take care . . . take rest and please . . . stay away from your books! PLEASE! And yes, take your medicines on time. L Miss ya sis, bye! 😭

G ' Bye Di! Miss ya too. 😭

As soon as she stepped inside the house, she went running up to Gunjan's room where she was peacefully sleeping. 😭

N to herself ' Meri pyari behen! Thank God she's alright! 😭

Gunjan woke up since she sensed someone kissing her on the forehead.

G ' Di . . . tum aa gayi!

She hugged her tightly. Both the sisters cried a lot. Especially Nupur, she got all nostalgic since she thought that it was all her fault. 😭

Nupur thanked Verma jhi and Chachi jhi for taking her care and after a few more days, Gunjan was alright! And that was only because of the love and affection of Nupur. The way she looked after her like a mother! 😊

**FLASHACK ENDS**

Nupur told the whole story to Mayank! For the first time ever, Mayank had tears in his eyes. 😭

M ' Nupur, you are such a darling! And in spite of that fact, u think are not good enough to be called responsible and caring! Why?

N ' Because at that time also I wasn't there with her and right now also. It's the most crucial stage of her life and I still can't help her!

M ' Crucial?

N ' Ya, her one sided love for Samrat.

Mayank cupped her face and said, "Look Nupur, it's okay . . . it's not your fault . . . everything will be alright very soon." He reassured. 😊

Nupur hugged him tightly! Tighter than ever. 😳

N ' Thanks Mayank! Thanks a lot for being there with me. And I dun care about what the people around us would say. Get it!

M ' Okay baba! Neither do I cause hello . . .

N ' Age ma bolna . . . 😳😛

They both giggled and broke apart.

Nupur kept her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes. Just then, Gunjan came from behingd and kept her hand on Nupur's shoulder.

G ' Di, is everything alright?

Nupur quickly wiped off her tears and got up!

N ' ya, chalo . . . it's too late now. Good night Mayank. Bye!

G ' Di . . . ek sec . . . Mayank temme na, what happened?

M ' Nupur was telling me about the incident when u caught hold of the H1N1 virus and she ended up getting nostalgic!

G ' Aww . . . Di how many times do I have to tell u that it wasn't your fault! You are the world's sweetest and best sis! And am very lucky! VERY! 😊

And saying this she hugged her tightly. They both started crying. Even Mayank became a Lil senti. 😊😔

M to himself ' I wish I had a brother or sister like such! Dude, shut up . . . why are u crying? Be a man. 😆
