Ved is crying, remembering Dhruv, when Kavitha calls her. Ved is shocked. She tries to hide her tears, tries to wpipe them. Kavitha tells her that she knows what she is undergoing. She knows her sorrow. Ved is surprised, she asks do you know? Kavitha says i am also a mother, i can understand. You must be missing Dhruv so much. When he goes away from me for few days, i feel his absence. Now, you must be feeling more. She says do not worry, he will be back soon. Ved is confused. Kavitha continues that Ved has just lost her baby, it must be real tough time for her, with Dhruv and Ved away from each other. Kavitha says that Dhruv is such a sensitive person, he cannot see tears in anybody's eyes. Now, when he has lost his kid, i really worry how he must be facing it all alone. How he must be working, forgetting his personal sorrow? Ved breaks into tears. Kavitha then tells Ved that she should not worry, her garden will again see a small flower. She will again get the same good news. I want you and Dhruv to be happy, together, she says. Ved cries, hugs her. She tells herself that my garden has turned into a desert. No flowers will bloom here. She cries her heart out, without saying anything to Kavitha.
Night. Ved enters her room, where she has pleasant memories shared with Dhruv. As the sad title song plays in the background, she keeps seeing her room. She then sees herself in the mirror. She sees herself as a suhaagan. She remembers Sundari telling her that her bangles, mangalsutra, sindoor, bindi have no meaning in her life. She cries. She slowly removes her bangles. She then takes out her mangalsutra. She then removes her bindi. She then wipes her sinndoor. She cries. She tells herself that this is her life from now on.
Morning. Ved dressed in a yellow saree, but devoid of bangles, sindoor and mangalsutra, sitting in front of the mirror again. She holds the mangalsutra in hand, she tells herself that these strings of black beads are so very entangled in her and Dhruv's love, that she cannot cheat it. She tells herself that she cannot wear this. She cannot lead a suhaagn'slife. As she is crying and saying this, Nih comes there. As Ved and Nih are talking, there is a door bell. The servant opens the door. It is Uma. The servant tells Uma that Ved is in her room. Uma, dejected over Ved's kids losing, is climbing the stairs, to meet her daughter.
Here, Nih tells Ved that they had a talk with papa's doctor, who told them that Viren is still not in the condition of hearing any sad news. So Nih asks Ved to put on the mangalsutra, which Ved does. She is about to put Sinndoor on her maang, when she again breaksdown, says that she cannot do this. Nih tells Ved that Viren is so upset on hearing about the kid's demise, now, he just cannot hear this news. As she is telling this, Uma calls for Ved and comes in. Ved runs to her mom. She hugs her, she starts to tell her mom that she has lost everything. She then begins to tell that Dhruv..... when Nih completes the sentence, adds that Dhruv and Ved's kid is no more. Ved then realises that her mom is also sad bcos of the kid's death, she does not know anything about Dhruv. She tells herself, as she hugs her mom, that Nih is right, i need to keep this truth to myself. She cries.
Kavitha, Sundari, Rudr, Nih, Ved, Titli are at the breakfast table. Sundari sees Ved, tells all that Ved is looking so beautiful, just like a newly wed. Rudr, Nih and Ved stare at her. Titli tells Kavitha that she got a phone from the tent fellow,he was asking from when he can put the tent for Tara's marriage. Titli tells Kavitha to postpone the marriage, as Viren is not well, Dhruv is also not here. Kavitha tells Titli that Viren does not want to pull on with Tara's happiness ,he wants the marriage to get over on the finalised date. She tells Titli to make all arrangements. She then tells Ved that she needs to talk to Dhruv now, asking him to wind up work ,come before Tara's marriage. Ved, Rudr, Nih are tensed, Sundari is enjoying. Kavitha asks Ved to call Dhruv, she wants to talk to him. Ved says that she cannot talk to Dhruv. Dhruv's office place is so far, there is no network there. Kavitha sasy but you talk to him, isn't it? Ved says that Dhruv calls her when he is back at the hotel. Sundari is giving a wicked smile, she is really enjoying now. Kavitha tells Ved to call the hotel, give the phone to her, she will leave a message for Dhruv. Ved has no other go but to call. She dials the number, gives the phone to Kavitha. Kavitha is waiting for someone to pick up, when Rudr is trying some number. He then tells Kavitha that he has got the line, so asks her to cut, which Kavitha does. Nih and Ved are relieved. Rudr talks to the hotel receptionist, he pretends so. He then tells the person to give a message to Dhruv, that he has to call home. He then cuts the line. Kavitha is relieved. Sundari says seeing Kavitha, a mother's heart is crying to see her son. But your son Dhruv is so engrossed in work, he does not even give a message to you. Ved, Nih and rudr are getting wild. Ved then turns to Rudr, for help. (I think Rudr gives the message). Ved's mobile gives a beep, indicating SMS. She sees it, says this is from Dhruv. She gives the mobile to Kavitha, who reads the contents. It reads: Ma, how are you, how is dad? I miss you all. I will finsih my work very soon, will be back in a few days. Love you Dhruv. Kavitha is very happy. She gets up, taking the mobile. She tells i will read this out to Viren. She goes. Titli also goes. Rudr and Nih too leave. Ved is about to get up and go, when Sundari stops her. She tells her that she has handled this situation very well, she gave a fake message , which Kavitha believed. But, the day is not far away, when Kavitha will be adamant to hear Dhruv's voice. Then what will you do? Will you call up, she show the sky with her fingers, asks Ved whether she will call up. She tells that the person who has gone up, can never talk, see, meet any person. Don't you know this? Ved is now having an angry face. Tears also start to flow down her cheeks, listening to the hurting words of Sundari.
Tomorrow: The suhaagan puja. Nih and Ved are dressed and decked for the occassion. Sundari tells Ved something. Nih gives a fitting reply to her, she tells her that the lady who is known as a second wife is even more low in status than a widow. Atleast, the widow can proudly put her husband's name in her name. But for a second wife, she can never use her husband's name with her name. Sundari is shocked. Ved is in tears.
