Some stray thoughts........
A lot of time has passed since Antara has come into the lives of Adit and Vidya. And with her came a whirlwind of emotions.
Since she was born out of wedlock, understandably Vidya felt betrayed. She moved out because of her grief and moved back in for her son who loved his father.
Adit is ashamed that his one night stand with a woman he hardly loved bore fruit and Antara was born. She is thrust into his life. He can't do anything but bring her home. But he values his life with his loving wife. In his confusion he is willing to put this daughter into an orphanage just so that his wife will return to his house and his heart. But Vidya stops him. How far he would have really enroled Antara in that institution is anybody's guess.
Time passes. Vidya mellows and Adit realises that his daughter is autistic. They have reached some state of equilibrium. Vidya's taunts have ceased and her overtures towards both Adit and Antara have increased. She is faster at accepting the situation.
Today's episode perhaps showed how the parents of their special child are slowly adjusting to their circumstance. While Vidya turns Ma Durga because her neighbours have the temerity to point fingers at her family, Adit still craves for approval. He pleads with Antara to show that she can do it and that she is no less than the next person. He is high strung and emotional and hence the disappointment is greater when Antara doesn't perform. His shame at having to cut a sorry figure because Antara didn't dance was obvious. Antara didn't put to rest all the wagging tongues. He was heart broken. His wife gives him a pep talk about coming to terms.
It takes a long time for the parents to accept, then to adjust, then to set a goal that's within reach, then to convince themselves that they have to persevere forever. And most importantly that they have to love the child no matter what.
That is evident. We saw it when Vidya pulled Angel close to her on stage and then carried her away. We have been seeing it with Adit too. How worried he is if something goes wrong for Antara. No one can doubt his love for her.
The show has encapsuled this pathway quite well and the topic has been dealt with positively. It takes months and even years for this transition to take place. To aim high is good- for then the parent will make the child independent.
While today's turmoil was being shown, dont miss the quiet way in which Abhi is sitting and listening. He is learning just like his parents to be proud of Antara and know that she is different.

YES I was also observing him quietly taking it all in.
Also not to miss Arti leaving at such a critical juncture for the family whereas she should have shown some solidarity. Trust her!!!
I was also particularly watching abhi observing the goings-on and letting a whole lot of things sink in.

Paddy,
I dont consider Arti to be part of this family because
1. She lives outside the unit
2. She doesn't behave like a family member at all
Better than her is Sameer, Mr G and Billo

Yes I fully agree but it's amazing how this woman never ever disappoints you, she always manages to come out so selfish and somewhere I keep hoping that at least once she will show solidarity with the family but guess I should just consider her as not part of the family. Think you are right!

hi skep ...howz u ??
very well written ...........๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
i think the pace the yhav shown aditya, vidya and abhishek accepting antara .......is fab! for aditya it was natural as she was his daughter but the way they hav shown abhishek and vidya accepting antra as a part of their family actually stirs up the emotions within u !
it wasnt too immediate not too stretched ........its shown how it shud be!!
arti too got a bit mellowed .............i juss hope they maintain this different and natural aspect of the show .

Hi Resh................,
@blue....Vidya is coming to terms with her situation and has quitened down her resentment of angel. I am so glad she sees Angel as an individual and not the outcome of a sordid night.
It was heartening to note that the rest of the crowd was encouraging Antara to dance...... ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
