TV's nasty judges

Judges play an important role in the popularity of any reality show. And the nastier they are, the higher the ratings. Here are some of our favourites:

Himesh Reshmiyaa
He argues, not just with the co-judges – especially maha guru Asha Bhosle – but with the contestants too. He even told a contestant from the team opposing his: 'Yeh kya gaana gaya, tujhe sur ke bare main kuch pata hai? Yahaa time-pass karne aaya hai'.

Abhijeet Bhattacharya
His opinions are extreme – he could praise the contestant to the sky or he could be very discouraging.

Anu Malik
He has judged all the seasons of Indian Idol. He displays his displeasure and doesn't mince his words, during the auditions or in the final rounds. He has said things like 'Aapne gaana kahaan se sikha? You don't have the qualities of becoming a singer... '. In one season, he even called a contestant a cockroach.

Raghu
He is the arrogant and cutting judge in MTV's Roadies, whose main intention is to unnerve aspiring contestants. There's no counting on what he'll say. A typical statement: 'Tune Roadies dekha bhi nahi hai, bata ek winner ka name... arre toh kyun aaya'.

Aadesh Shrivastav
He has judged shows like Voice of India and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. He often shows his irritation with contestants and judges alike.

Himesh is the WORST of all. Who the Hell is he to tell the contestants not to sing Kishoreda and Ashaji songs.

himesh is a real fool... he doesnt realise that if the singers can sing older song well the new songs will be a piece of cake for em

i will probably get stoned for saying this but i did not like suresh wadkar as a judge. he was too mean on the lil kids.

nice topic Gur

i'm gonna take a British view on judges and say Simon Cowell is considered a nasty jugde by some, i think he tells it like it is and is a genius in the showbiz world
