DM will not divorce Santu, that is if Ekta wants good TRP ratings for the show. If she wants the show to go down, then divorce might happen

Yes agree, divorce is not going to or rather should not happen if the integrity of the show is to be maintained. Because I don't see how DM is going to fall in love with her after a divorce -- if it didn't happen after 7+ months of marriage and living in the same house, how is going to happen with someone who is not his wife, probably might end up as his daughter-in-law's sister and while he still feels guilty that he is being unfaithful to his dead wife. But stranger things have been known to happen in Ekta's show, so who knows.

But one thing is for sure, if she messes with the whole premise of the show - and I think the premise is how a couple so mismatched in age, status, wealth, caste, etc overcome the odds and make a marriage work - if she messes with this, then the show is going down the drain. I don't think the audience will like it...I think the days of taking the audience for granted is over -- people have a lot more choices these days and if they don't like something, they will switch to a better product. And the channels these days are also different, if the show is not able to maintain the TRPs, it is going to be pulled off the air and it does not matter whose show it is.

The whole show is based on the may-december wedding of Santu and DM, so for them to get divorce is unlikely. The divorce will throw the crux of the story like a hurricane. They are not a modern family to divorce and remarry but I think for DM to realise his feelings for Santu, a third guy in the relationship will do the trick. DM is a man filled with pride, he will not lose his wife to another.
