Aamir Khan started his career in films with the runaway success Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. Using classic method acting, Aamir has acted in almost all genres of Indian films - comedy, action, drama and romance. Though he signs only a few films, Aamir Khan is acknowleged today as the most complete Indian actor for his diverse choice of roles and films. In 2007 he turned director with the film Taare Zameen Par which brought him critical acclaim. Many of his films are considered cult classics, such as Rang De Basanti, Lagaan, Mangal Pandey: The Rising, Raakh and 1947: Earth.
Abhay Deol has always taken the road less travelled. Abhay's movies are characterised by down-to-earth acting. He began his career with an off-beat romantic film Socha Na Tha, made by first-time director, Imtiaz Ali, and followed it up with some more innovative films. He made his presence felt in the industry with Anurag Kashyap's most talked about 2009 release Dev.D, an adaptation of the novel Devdas with a twenty first century twist. Even Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! saw him playing a loveable thief Lucky Singh which got a thumbs up from the critics

Naseeruddin Shah is an actor extraordinaire, characterised by seamless and gripping performances in cinema and theatre for over 30 years now. Shah, has been honoured with the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India for his contributions towards Indian cinema. Naseeruddin Shah became active in mainstream movies with Hum Paanch. He acted in several multi-starrer Bollywood films as well such as Ghulami, Tridev, Vishwatma. He was recently seen in A Wednesday.
Smita Patil was a leading Indian actress in both Hindi and Marathi cinema. Smita teamed with Ketan Mehta to play the feisty and fiery Sonbai in Mirch Masala. Her performances were often acclaimed, and she was mostly noted for her work in such art films as Manthan, Bhumika, Aakrosh and Chakra. Patil was also an active feminist and a member of the Women's Centre in Mumbai.
