Kaminey gets a fuperb review from the critics
It has taken a long time coming that a movie has received so much praise from the critics. Kaminey has made a good start to stay the least getting the critics to give it thumbs up, as they are the ones who have been lately pulling down the movies. It is not a movie in which you can leave your brain at home you need to pay attention to grasp what is going on. Vishal Bhardwaj has taken his direction and story telling a notch above the level he sets for himself.
The two brothers Charlie and Guddu who hate each other are drawn into the world of drugs and money and with nowhere to go, they run for their life only to realize that in the end both of them only had each other. The movie really picks up after the interval when Vishal goes into the movie layer by layer until the very end when you have that explosive ending and a violent one must say.
The song Dhan Ten Nan gives you that adrenaline rush in the movie and you feel the pump in it whenever the music comes in the background or when Shahid Kapur does break into it in the latter half. Priyanka Chopra seems to have made all her friends in Maharashtra proud as she has perfected the accent. The college-going girl Sweety whose only ambition is to get a boyfriend will leave a lasting impression.
She did a great job as a performer and for the first time did an entire movie with minimal make up. The choreography in the movie is worth applauding and with an extended weekend, the movie is sure to get huge crowds this week.
