Sequels that lived up to expectations?

Usually sequels of movies are rather disappointing.

Golmaal was way better than Golmaal Returns

Dhoom was better than Dhoom 2

Hera Pheri was better than Phir Hera Pheri

So are there any sequels that actually were better than the originals? Or atleast lived up to the expectations of the first?

Both the Dhooms were pretty bad. Phir Hera Pheri was atrocious. Both Golmaals were also horrendous.

Maybe Lage Raho Munnabhai - i think it at least lived up to the expectations.

You're right! Lage Raho Munna Bhai still maintined that quality.

And even the third one looks great!

Oooh forgot to mention this one, KMG was better than Krissh

Lagharo munnabhai was good but wasnt as funny as the original.

I've noticed, they try to make the sequel, BIGGER and BETTER, but in the end, it lacks the soul and feel of the first.

i think b/c ppl compare it to the orginal and they expect the same feeling but when that doesnt happen its disapointing. I hate when sequals are madea good movie should be left alone. I know Donstana2 will probably not be as good as the first. Hopefully Race 2 is as good or even better then the first. I loved Race
