Riddhima Gupta... As the Gupta's hear her name, their faces lit up with joy. She is the apple of their eyes. Today, she is coming back from UK, after doing her MBA in Finance and Marketing from the London School of Economics. Shashank Gupta, the proud father of Riddhima, is now deciding to retire by giving away the company to his one and only heir.....
He yet wanted to be with her, supporting her in the works, but he finally decided to retire after working for such long years. Finally, the day has come.. His daughter is going to take up his company affairs from the very next day. She is going to be the Managing Director of the Gupta Empire.
Media gathered around the Gupta Mansion, to know more about the new Managing Director. Since when the news came, it became a buzz in the business world, since Gupta Empire is a part of the top 10 business enterprises in the world.
As the flight landed, she felt her mind and heart rest in peace. She is back in India, her home land, where she had many memories.. She was eager to meet her parents and hug them tightl and never let them go. She assumed that, they will be waiting for her near the airport to receive her.
She made her way towards the baggage collection point, where some guards, employed by the Gupta Empire, made her to sit in the executive airport launge. They collected her luggage and sent them to the Gupta Mansion. Riddhima is eagerly waiting to see Shashank and Padma, her parents. She is having a child like smile and is extremely impatient.
Since it is an executive lounge, there are hardly anyone there. It is only some workers and Riddhima.. Soon, she sees a man entering the lounge. He was having blue eyes, a charming smile and yeah.. she thought, he looks hot too... She again snaps back "Yeh tum kya soch rahi ho Riddhima"... She never found someone appealing and hot. But today...
She comes out of her thoughts as she sees that same person make his way towards her.. She looks towards him and stares at him questioningly..
Man: Good Afternoon mam. I am Armaan... Armaan Mallik... I am your new personal assistant. I am here to pick you up.
Riddhima looses the colour of her face, when she comes to know that, her parents sent her Personal Assistant instead of personally coming to the airport.
Riddhima: Where are mom and dad ? Are they waiting outside ?
Armaan: No mam. Shashank sir is busy with the office work and Padma mam is organising something in the Gupta Mansion. So, they asked me to...
Riddhima: Its okay... Lets go...
Armaan opens the door for her as she goes out.
He escorts her until the car and starts driving towards the Gupta Mansion. Riddhima will be sitting in the back while Armaan will be driving..
Riddhima: Mumbai bohot badal gayi hai..
Armaan: Jee. Mam.. I need to tell something important.
Riddhima: Yes..
Armaan: Mam, sir asked me to explain you about tomorrow's schedule. If it is fine for you, okay. Otherwise, i will ammend it and make a new one.
Riddhima: Hmm.. Okay.. Lekin mein kal se office join karne waali hoon na.
Armaan: Yes mam. Tomorrow, there is a press conference at around 10 in the morning. Then, we have a meeting with all the staff members at 1 in the afternoon... This is the agenda. Would you like to have any changes or shall I organise according to it ?
Riddhima: Well, that is fine. We can go with that... Armaan... Even before we go to home, I want you to drive to the Sanjeevani Orphanage in Andheri.
Armaan: Sure mam (He was slightly confused at why she is going to the orphanage and what work does she have there)
Riddhima: And even before that, we will stop near any bakery.
Armaan: Okay mam.
As they reach the bakery, Armaan speaks.
Armaan: Mam, do you want me to get something, or...
Riddhima: No.. Even I will come..
Armaan and Riddhima make their way into the bakery, while Riddhima buys some biscuits, cakes, pasteries, chocolates and chips. Armaan was astornished by the quantity and varieties of food she is buying. As Riddhima was about to make thee payment, Armaan stopped.
Armaan: I am paying mam.
Riddhima: Okay (Confused at why he is respecting her so much and is behaving weirdly)
Armaan tries to carry all the bags. It was difficult to him, since he had to carry carefully, without smashing the cakes and stuff. Riddhima, who was aware of the fact, just runs towards the counter and takes some of the bags.
Armaan:Sorry mam.. Aap ko itna takhleef lene ki zaroorat kyun ? Mein saara samaan utha loonga.
Riddhima: Uhhumm.. No... I also have hands and I also can carry things.. 2, 3 bags hold karne se, mein mar thodi jaaongi na.. Please...
Armaan just kept his head down and nodded.
Soon, they reached the Orphanage... Riddhima, as soon as they reached the orphanage, opened the car door immediately and ran through its gates within a fraction of second.
Armaan was amazed to see her. As far as he was considered, he knew how cruel and rude Gupta's were.. Including his boss Shashank Gupta and his family even. But this girl is something different. He was mesmerised by her serene beauty when he saw her for the first time. Her voice was like honey ho his ears. He faces end number of problems in the office from morning till night. He is ordered to do paper work at odd timings like at around 2 or 3 in the morning. If he quits the job, he knew how Shashank Gupta is like.. He will order all the other companies and use his money to announce that, "This person is a cheat and do not give a job to him". His boss even uses another weapon, i.e; his certificates. All his merit certificates are filed in the company and without them, he can not go anywhere. He finally thought...
Armaan: (Thinking) Dont worry dude.. This is only the introduction. Soon, she will also dump piles of work on you. Don't be so happy, that you got a quiet natured boss. Afterall, she is a Gupta too.. Where will the qualities of the blood go ? He shrugged his shoulder and entered into the Orphanage along with the bags...
As he went to the main lounge, he saw Riddhima, just laughing like a kid... He saw one of the kids in her lap, one wrapping his arm around her neck from the back and the others surrounding her. The warden there, was feeding her with some kheer... She was eating like a small kid.. She was giggling like an angel.. He slapped himself at his thoughts...
Armaan: (Thinking) Kya soch rahe ho Armaan.. Woh kahan aur tum kahan.. You are a mere personal assistant. Keep your thinking low man.. But to be frank, she really looks like an angel, that has just come from the heaven...
He moves with the bags and places them near to the couch she was sitting in.. Suddenly, the kids see him and, who were there with Riddhima run towards him and hug him and they shout "Armaan Bhaiyya" "Yayy.. Aap bhi aagaye"
The warden looks at him and she also gets happy and gives her million dollar sime..
Warden (Smita) Arey Armaan... Beta.. Tum kab aaye ho ?
Armaan: Hello Aunty.. I actually came with mam.. Hmm..
Riddhima looked at them with confused expressions since she was not understanding what is happening. The kids pull Armaan towards Riddhima and even before he talks..
One of the Kids: Didi, hum hamesha ek bhaiyya ke baare mein kehte the na... Yeh hai hamara Armaan Bhaiyya... (Then turns towards Armaan) Aur bhaiyya, yeh Riddhima didi hai
Riddhima (Gets shocked. She has heard so much about this person from the kids. They tell her about how he teaches them basket ball and how he plays with them, tells them stories)
Riddhima gets up from her place, while Armaan is expecting some shouting... She says his name...
Riddhima: Armaan Mallik...
Armaan (With his head down) Ye.. Yes mam...
Riddhima: Arey aap itna dar kyun rahe ho ? Mein aap se mil ke bohot khush hoon. Wow.. these kids admire you a lot. Mein jab bhi wahan se phone karti hoon, woh pehle aap ke baare mein batate hai, ki bhaiyya woh karte hai, yeh karte hai, hamare saath woh khelte hai, yeh khelte hai.. You are really a great person..
Armaan (Unable to believe his ears.. He just got some complement from one of the Gupta's.) Thanks mam. Glad meeting you too.
Riddhima: If you dont mind, kya aap saare food ko kholne mein madad karenge ?
Armaan: Sure mam. Ofcourse.. (He now, got courage to talk to her)
He opened the food packets. Riddhima fed the children with food and after that, all the children started pulling Armaan for playing..
Kids: Bhaiyya.. Please.. Aap hamare saath basket ball kheliye na.. Please...
Armaan: Nahi bachchon. Abhi nahi.. Hum sunday ko khelenge. Abhi mein apne duty kar raha hoon. Please.. Understand na..
Riddhima: Arey Armaan.. Aap aise kaise mana kar sakte hai.. I am ordering you. Do whatever this kids say..
Armaan nods and goes with the kids while Riddhima goes into the orphanage building along with Smitha.
Riddhima: Bua.. Kya aap iss Armaan Mallik ko jaante hai ?
Smita: Sirf jaanta kya, maine ussko paal poskar bada kiya.... Woh mera beta jaisa hai...
Riddhima: Kya ????
Smita: Haan beta.. Armaan ke parents uske bachpan mein ek accident mein mar gaye the.. Aur tab mujhe sirf Armaan aur uski passport milli hai. Tab se woh Sanjeevani ke Orphanage mein he rehta tha. Recently, chaar saal pehle usko aap ke office mein job milli thi... He works there..
Riddhima: Oh my goodness.. Unhone kya padha hai ?
Smita: He did his MBA in finance and marketing just two years ago. He worked really hard and got first rank in India. He is now earning his livelyhood. Aur uske joh paise aate hai na, un mein se inn bachchon ko bhi kuch deta hai.. He has a heart of gold... Usne poore padhayi scholarship ke saath ki hai.. Apne mehnat par... (She tells proudly about her son)
Riddhima: Then, why is he doing such a low paid job ? He is a deserving candidate..
Smita: Matlab...
Riddhima: Matlab yeh hai ki, bua, Armaan mera personal assistant hai...
Smita: Riddhima beta, you dont know about this world.. Jo kaam milegi, usse karna chahiye...
Riddhima: But he is much more experienced than me.. Hmmm... Mujhe ab Armaan se baat karna hi padega..
