Celeb blogs were a hit when actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Rahul Bose started blogging, but with television actors and anchors too taking to the trend, viewers are only happy to get an extra dose of the drama.
While television personalities like Rohit Roy, Pooja Bedi, Cyrus Broacha, Payal Rohatgi and Raghu and Rajeev (of MTV Roadies) are regular bloggers, Rajeev Khandelwal (anchor of Sach Ka Saamna) too has joined the list recently.
There are also others like like Karan Johar,
Farhan Akhtar, Shekhar Kapur and Salman Khan, who started blogging soon after they bagged their own TV shows. "These celebs share interesting snippets from behind the scenes.
That's what got me addicted to these blogs," says Radhika Goyal, a blogger .
Ronit Roy, one of first celeb bloggers has over 200 posts on his very popular blog. Says Ronit, "Only when I started blogging did I realise that it's so much fun to connect with your fans. My fans gifted me a fan site on my birthday a few years ago, it was a nice gesture so I update them through my blog.
There couldn't be a better platform to reach out to everyone." Agrees actor Vishal Hegde. "It's an ideal way to say everything you've always wanted to. Sometimes when I put up something, so many fans comment and discuss the issue. It's a lot of fun to network with them this way," says Vishal.
Rajeev Khandelwal has also pleased a lot of his fans by making a come back on the small screen. Hosting the popular reality game show, Sach Ka Saamna has been a thrilling experience he states on his blog. Blogs by Karan Johar and Farhan Akhtar became really popular after their shows Koffee with Karan and Oye! Its Friday went on air. Says model Manisha Yadav, "It's nice to see TV stars blogging about everything from work to life and answering questions. Sometimes some actors are in the news for some issues and they answer a lot of critics' questions here and comment on different issues too!"
