Abhishesk Rawat as Shekhar:
He is the 2nd son of Loha Singh. Very different from his dad and his brother Ranvijay. He doesn't get along well with his dad, as their opinions differ on many issues. Has no kids. Shekhar respects women a lot unlike his father, especially Laali. He has a soft spot for Laali even thought he doesn't love her. His loves his wife a lot but doesn't expect a lot from her. Like the Thakurian Shekhar is the only other person with brains in the Thakur household but under his father reign can't overrule his father's demands.
Ratan Rajput as Laali:
she is the first child of Nanku and Majri. Laali plays the main lead in this show. Her wedding took place when she was young, with Ganesiya, but she still stays with her parents, because they were waiting for her to mature before they do her Gauna (Bidaii/farewell). Laali takes care of her siblings as a mother, and helps her parents as well. She visits her parents one more time after she is sold. She tells them she has nothing against them and deep down loves them a lot.
