He is a grown-up, an adult, no one can force him to do anything he doesn't want to and whenever did Hiten listen to DM anyways?

I do wish though that the creatives had done a better job at his characterization. All he seems to do is mope around about Khemi and play his guitar. I wish they had shown him a little more ambitious and driven, doesn't he need to have a job, a career? Shouldn't he be trying to get out from under his father's shadow? He should be trying to get independent because currently he seems to depend on DM for his "roti, kapda aur makaan". Personally, in reality, I don't know any 23 year old educated guy who either does not have a job or is not actively trying to get one or is not studying towards a career, I guess only the idle rich can afford to do that. He was better off at Nanaji's, at least he was doing something there.

The other guys in the show seem to be more driven - Shanky has a job, even Maulik seemed to be ambitious (he wanted to go to Antwerp for the diamond deal), at one time even Hiten seemed keen on starting his own business even if it was only to spite DM. So whatever happened to it? So, OK, he did not want DM's help, he could always refuse the loan from the bank that DM guaranteed and try to get funding on his own from elsewhere and make it clear to DM that he did not want interference from him in his professional life, but he seems to have just given up on it.

So, I hope the creatives do a better job on his characterization in the future.

I agree as of late all I've seen Hiten do is be really rude to everyone. One thing that annoys me is how he's so rude to Santo. I mean yeah he's annoyed with his dad over DM's marriage but why does he take it out on Santo. He loves Monghi, Nanaji and especially Khemi so for their sake he shouldn't be so rude to Santo even if he won't accept her as his mother. Surely he's seen how much Khemi loves Santo so by hurting Santo he is in effect hurting Khemi. Also if he's going to be so disparaging about DM then he needs to make something of himself through his own efforts and then think about marrying Khemi at the moment he's expecting his dad to provide for them. If he's going to go against his father then he needs to be fully independent.

Exactly my thoughts. Even I don't understand how Hiten can be so against DM, yet completely depend on him for his food, clothing, shelter, etc. Shouldn't he first try to make something of himself and be independent before he goes about sermonizing to anyone? And I agree, I don't think any guy has any business thinking about marriage until he is able to provide for his family on his own, doesn't matter how educated or capable he is - he has to be able to provide for a family on his own before getting married and not start trying to earn a living or making something of himself after. At least thats how it works in my world - guys don't even think about marriage until they are capable of providing for a family but I guess things work differently in the soap world.

It will be so 😡 😡...

In all BT serials they tend to show this...agrred after all hardships...the pyaar karne wale shud b together...but no BT always bring some 3rd person in etc etc...seriously hate that😡😡...

Hope that doesnt happen in hiten-khemi case...

I agree wholeheartedly. I used to watch Kya Dill mein hai and all through I held out the hope that Rahul and Kakoon would get together but those in charge completely ruined everything. I really tried not to get hooked onto another Ekta serial but they always start so well that you can't help but watch the!
I sincerely hope they don't start divorcing characters and marrying them to other people then getting divorced again and remarrying the first person and a little while later having anothe divorce!!!!
Another thing that annoys me is random time leaps into the future because they've run out of stories for the current characters
- to sum up I love Bandini the way it is and I don't know if what I've written makes any sense - may just have had a little rant lol

I too hope they don't resort to their old formula of divorces and remarriages, extramarital affairs and illegitimate kids, leaps into the future after which miraculously the main protagonists don't seem to age although their children have grown up (Ekta could make a fortune with her anti-aging formula) none of which have even a remote resemblance to the reality of Indian lifestyle or Indian values. I don't think she can get away with it this time, there are a lot of choices available to viewers these days.

I hope Ekta meant it when she said she had turned over a new leaf and hope she doesn't resort to her old tactics and prove her detractors right. The day DM-Santo get divorced and married to someone else will be last day I would be watching Bandini, don't have patience for that kind of stuff, which is why successfully avoided being addicted to any of her shows until Bandini and for a very short time Kayamath.

Actually, when I was told that the new serial(Bandini) from Ekta was pretty good and different after it started, I was pretty disparaging and said how could Ekta's show be any different but then saw a few episodes and got completely hooked by the novelty of the concept, the ethnic setting of the show and the performance of the actors. I hope Ekta does not prove what I initially thought about her show right.
