JASSI: ''I am quitting the show.'' Jassi is having second thoughts. She is just not comfortable playing her new role. While the audience may find the Jassi makeover sexy, she abhors it so much that she has told the channel bosses that either they return her to her old look — braces and all or she is quitting. She has had enough already of the sexy halter necks and saris that are as transparent as they are black. What is more, she believes that she is losing touch with her (un)real self. ''I have played Jassi so long that I have forgotten who Mona Singh is. I am having an identity crisis now, kind of a split personality which may affect my future life and though the viewers may not know it, I do have a life.'' she says. The news has been received with joy by the World Behenji Association, which has sent Jassi a new pair of glasses. ''This way I can have that old world perspective even post the makeover,'' she quips.
