yeah but if a family comes to see a girl, trust me I have never seen the girl calling them even maa ji or babu ji that day....not until it is confirmed tht she is going to be their daughter in law for sure...... may be where you love, you guys start calling maa ji or babu ji to anyone..... I dont think we Punjabis do that... they stay uncle aunty until they are related to us in a relationship of parents or parents in law......
and if any punjabis do, then I am mistaken.... then may be its just society thing.... some people do, some dont...... but to be honest I havent seen any
