Trial and error

Gohil has taken pains to design it as well as get it just right. "It has been through a lot of trial-and-error and now finally it's perfect. It was a bit uncomfortable initially but it was all in the mind. Now I can just do anything while wearing it — eat, drink... When I am driving, I just need to put the Bluetooth on the ear instead of fidgeting with the phone. And more importantly, I know that I will never leave behind my cell anywhere."

Made in Baroda

The actor's made-to-order pure leather wristband pouch has been specially ordered and designed for him in Baroda.

"I saw a photograph of a mobile and a Bluetooth case at a mall in Bangkok. That image stayed on my mind. Back home, I decided to design it exactly the way I wanted it to be. I had a friend in Baroda who deals with such stuff, I explained to him and he custom-made it for me."

Cops came calling

Though Gohil terms the wristband as an "integral gadget to his personality" which people take notice of, there was an instance when he was grilled by the cops ——- they wondered what he was armed with! "It happened last year in June when I was holidaying in Atlantic City, USA. I was at a casino when the police swooped on me and asked me what was in the pouch. I had to explain to them that it was a mere custom-made phone pouch."

Besides the wristband, Gohil is also into watches and shades. "That's my way of making a style statement," he says.
