AYUB KHAN
I think New Year resolutions are so passe! My only resolve every year is to make loads of money but since my hard work doesn't seem to be paying off that much, I'm trying to make up for it by looking out for a rich relative who would give me some money!

I had not planned to make a New Year resolution but it so happened that I am doing that right now! My elder brother is a doctor and has recently bought a new bungalow and I was really happy for him. So, I asked him what he wants for New Year from me. He said that he wants 20 kgs from my body! So my new year resolution is to lose all that extra weight. I have been following a regular routine and have managed to lose a little weight. I won't call it a new year resolution exactly but yes, I have decided to do something for myself this year so that I like myself more.

Well I had decided to give up smoking this year and I have been managing to do that till now! I was not a chain smoker but used to end up smoking four to five cigarettes a day and if I was partying, it used to end up being 15 to 20 cigarettes! I have been wanting to quit for some time now and even my wife wanted me to do that. Also, my baby is going to be born soon and I don't want to be smoking around my kid. I can smell so many different smells now that my nostrils are clear! (laughs)
Also, I wanted to start working out again as I had hardly worked out in the past three years. For the last 20 days, I have been back at it.

Every new year I resolve to do something or the other as it gives me a reason to achieve something. This year, I've resolved to not be the shopoholic that I am! Even if I enter a shop, I would end up buying stuff which I don't even need. So I'm going to try and control those urges this year and I have managed so far! The last time I shopped like mad was on 30th December. The other reason I want to do this is to make my husband happy!

I never make any resolutions. I believe that if you need to rectify something about yourself for your own good, then you don't need an excuse for it. If I plan to do something, then it can be the middle of May for all I care.
PARMEET SETHI
"I usually don't make New Year's resolutions and tend to go with the flow of things. This year I had a great New Year in Dubai with my family and I have made up my mind to
achieve all that I couldn't achieve in the last 10 years. And I am going to work hard and am working on a plan of action. Let's hope things work out."
DIVYA DUTTA
"Living upto my typical Libran attitude, I am an emotional fool. And this New Year, I have decided to be less emotional and more selfish as a person. In 2005, I almost gave up on myself but now I am getting back in gear, despite the fact that I know I will end up breaking the resolution. Afterall, resolutions are meant to be broken!"

JUHI PARMAR
"Personally, I believe that
you don't really need to wait for New Year's to make a change. You can make a change at any given point. Thankfully, I am happy with myself, the way I am. But my one futile attempt has been to go to the gym. Which, I clearly haven't been able to live upto. However, the good thing is that I am in good shape. So, no worries there."
MOULLI GANGULY
"I am a very impulsive person and hence, resolutions are no my kind of thing. But last year, I made up my mind to be more patient and diplomatic because these are a few essential things that you need if you want to survive in this industry. So, I am guessing my last year resolution will continue into this year as well."
