If Vanga directed Saiyyara
Saiyaara Male lead is overrated!!!
22 years of Hungama
Aww that was short and sweet
Liked the way she confused him for PreetSince the first part of this one shot left so many things unanswered I decided to write another shot answering the questions and just hopefully something to make the entire thing better and so here it is! 😃
Zahra couldn't be happier by going to the book club meeting a whole day earlier. Coincidently or incidentally, she had met Prem; who was everything she had ever dreamed of. He was tall, masculine, sweet, caring and gorgeous, and basically everything she could have hoped for.
She still couldn't believe that she had spent the entire night out there on that bench. What were the odds that both of them would have messed up the dates for their book club and the very first meeting nonetheless. She glanced at her watch as she drove towards the book store, 6:30pm, almost 24 hours since she first saw him. Now she was going to the ACTUAL meeting and she couldn't wait. He'd be there too and something told her she wouldn't be as nervous as she thought she would yesterday.
She got out of the car and hurried towards the store. She saw the door opened and sighed. At least I got the right day, Right then an arm reached out and grabbed her, pulling her against the dark alley. A hand covered her mouth muffling her screams; she pulled at her attacker's hand only to find him slowly release his hand as she looked in the same brown eyes she had yesterday.
"Prem?" Her eyes went wide and she shook her head. "What are you doing?"
He smiled. "Nice to see you too,"
Zahra smiled back and blushed.
"I didn't want to go to the book meeting," He sighed. "Can we just go for a walk or something?"
Zahra smiled. "Sure,"
Prem took her hand in his before taking her towards his car.
Zahra didn't know what was happening to her. So far they were friends but could this lead to more? She silenced her overactive brain and let herself enjoy the night with Prem.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
"Do you like it?" Prem asked as he opened the door for her.
Zahra stood from the car and took in her surroundings. "Are you kidding me? It's gorgeous!"
He took her hand and shut the door swiftly behind him. They both walked along the river, on a designated path that was illuminated by tiny white lights that gave it a more romantic feel.
After a few moments of silence Prem decided to speak. "Zahra?"
"Hmm?" she turned towards him.
He smiled and led her towards a bench. "Can I ask you something?"
She shrugged. "Sure,"
"Yesterday—when I told you that my last name was Juneja, why'd you think it was Preet?"
Zahra sighed. "Look, don't get me wrong Prem, but you must know the 'reputation' your brother has earned himself?"
Prem just looked at her with no expression.
"You don't?" Zahra asked.
"Uhh no," Prem replied still looking at her.
Zahra shook her head as she smiled. "Ahh you've got a lot to learn in one night. Let's make it short shall we?"
Prem nodded while still looking confused.
"Okay well your brother has a reputation, with girls." Zahra tried to say casually.
"Details?"
"Umm—well the reason I was kinda surprised when you said Juneja, was because well, Preet's a player. He just sets his sights on a girl and makes them fall in love with him and then he finds someone new." She could see Prem's eyes hardening and knew exactly what he was thinking. "Wait Prem, nothing like that, he didn't take advantage or anything. It's just—hard to please him?"
Prem silently nods. "How do you know this?"
Zahra smiled. "He was with a few of my friends, but with them it was more friendship and then they grew to like him and..." she shook her head. "They're okay now,"
"So you though I was Preet and I was after you?" Prem asked as Zahra blushed.
"Maybe?" She blinked. "Anyways—do people do that a lot to you?"
Prem ran a hand through his fluffy hair. "It's annoying. See I usually handle all our hotels back in India and Preet handles everything here in London, so it happens all the time here in London."
"Well I'm glad I know now," Zahra smiled.
Prem silently takes her hand in his and rests it on his leg. "I'm so glad I screwed up the days for the book club,"
Even though Zahra knew the answer she still wanted him to say it. "Why's that?"
"Because I got to meet someone as amazing as you," He smiled as he turned to face her. "Zahra...do you think...maybe? Uh...we could take this friendship further?"
Zahra was a bit surprised after all it had only been one day that they knew each other. "Why Prem?" She knew that she agreed with what he said but she wanted to be sure for herself that he wasn't like his brother. He had to be different. A certain part of her heart knew though that their first meeting itself had signified that there would be more from this friendship and she wanted him to say it to her in proper words.
"Zahra, every since last night...or well this morning; I can't stop thinking about you. The way you give your opinions and don't shy away from honesty, stuff like that really impresses me. And I'd really love it if we gave this a chance,"
Zahra grinned as she lifted their interlaced hands. "I think we already have,"
They both turned back towards the steady flow of the river. Sure, their first meeting had been hasty, but maybe with time their relation would turn into something more and something equally special for the both of them.
How was that? *hides face* Hopefully better than the other part? 😳 Please leave comments or hit the 'like' button! 😊
