Bhansali turns Music Composer !!

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is taking his job as a music director quite seriously.

It started with him turning into a full-fledged music composer for his next directorial venture Guzaarish. Now, Sanjay will not only compose music for himself but also for his assistant Vibhu Puri's period film, Chenab Gandhi. Incidentally, Sanjay has learnt music from Pandit Birju Maharaj and is heavily inspired by Lata Mangeshkar.

Commenting on composing music for Chenab Gandhi, Sanjay said, "To do music for my own film is one thing because I know exactly what the characters think, feel and what kind of music they'll favour. But to interpret characters written by someone else in a musical format is far more difficult. I am enjoying the challenge."

Sanjay is especially keen to compose a song for Amitabh Bachchan, who stars in the film.
