Just see the scenario .
Nikhil is progressive minded . He respects women .........he proved it by being broad minded enough to marry a prostitute by not holding her past against her . He proved it by breaking away from his rural ancestral home and settling down in a city and becoming a self made industrialist . He doesnt want to stay where women r regarded as pair ki jooti .
Jhanvi doesnt seem to believe in progress . Instead of listening to her cultured , progressive husband , she often chides him to shut up and chooses to please a sexist , brute of a man instead .............her sasur . In an era where women shud be advised to discard the veil and seek education and freedom , she pulls the veil over her face , simpers behind it , agrees to punishments and apologizes when she has made no mistakes with the blunt goal .........okay I know I'm right but I wanna please the sexist brute , and this is the only way .
Nikhil's industries , business may be suffering is not her worry , opening the lock of some closed room and finding out her sasur's secret past is ..her goal.........like some common , two bit gossip mongering woman .
What i want to ask is ..........why r the men in this show shown to be such wusses that they listen to such idiotic females with tails between their legs when in reality they r right and the females r wrong ? Nikhil shud be man enough to tell her ' ENOUGH ' , if you want to continue to stay here and transform these people as your life's mission , continue , I am going back to the city as my business needs me . And you seem to have totally forgotten that your primary place and duty is being by side .
Why shud Nikhil listen to such a level of foolishness simply becoz he is newly married and smitten by the so called pretty Jhanvi ...........why shud his basic common sense desert him to this extent ?
In short simple language...........Nikhil is right and Jhanvi is wrong .Why then shud she have this upper hand ? It is not question of man or woman here , one who is right shud never bow before one who is wrong , even if it is your beloved spouse . Why shud a progressive individual [ Nikhil] listen to a sexist person [ Jhanvi ] ?Sometimes , sadly , spouses need good whacks , and Jhanvi is one such spouse .
