How do you choose your favorite - Page 2

First of all i guess i (and in general most people) don't go around " choosing a favourite" . It happens on its own. Kuch kuch hota hai, tum nahin samjhoge😆😆...kidding ! But yeah, after your favourite is eliminated, then if you have to chose another, you'd be considering all options !

Anyways, this is how the following factors in a singer would affect me.

Singer's Voice - A unique voice is something that really is always a pleasure to listen to ! With so many "clones" coming up a different voice is always refreshing. Anyways , one can't overrate this quality as eventually , if you are besura your voice won't be able to save you !

Natural Talent - Hmm it can be a bit difficult for me to judge who exactly is more talented sometimes ! But overall, i don't really give natural talent a lot of credit. Eventually , its all about hardwork according to me and thats something i believe in firmly.

Singer's Understanding of songs and music- This plays a very integral part for obvious reasons ! If in a music show the singer doesn't know about songs and music, he is a duffer !😆

XYZ-factor -😆i guess X factor is nothing but another term to the word "connectivity". The more you connect with someone, for you, that person has X- factor, ain't it? So , whoever would be my favourite would obviously have the X - factor according to me.

Under Peer pressure- oh this can go to hell !😆

Singer belonging to your region- i guess yeah, this would somehow affect my choice for sure ! I mean even if i consider a singer as not that good but if he is from my region, i'd always have a soft corner for him. But it doesn't necessarily mean that he'd be my favourite just for this reason or that i'll go on defending him even if he is an absolutely besura singer😆

Singer belong to your religion or caste - no influence at all !

Follow the majority in IF - oh common !😆

Underdogs- underdogs i think can never be favourites, but yeah, one does tend to support them whenever they are against anyone but your favourites no?

Singer's appropriate hakatein and alaap-oh yeah ! this does play quite a role, but isn't it also related to a person's knowledge of music ? How can one who doesn't have that knowledge do appropriate harkatein and specially alaap? Alaap really is quite difficult to follow for non-musically trained singers.

One is for underdogs.

Moreover its difficult to justify such votes on rational reasons cos 7 votes doesn't necessarily mean 7 different persons have voted😆

well each person is given one vote. so I do not think many will have multiple votes when it is only an expression of opinion. But we are supposed to have informed and rational members here.
